How about discussing hypocritical gay people.  or issues that gay people have with the community.

The only reason I say that is b/c when I watched E&J going at it...I cringed.  It just looked so..painful.  As
a gay woman, I should be able to relate and understand that...but I didn't.  I felt like a hypocrite.

Surprised would probalby be a better word or shocked but not hypocrite

I was wondering about starting a thread about the UK's attitude to homo/bi- sexual issues, would that be appropriate here?

Hi Helen,

As you know from the other thread... I think that is an excellent idea...

As the attitude and general fever is different in the UK... We can compare this directly to what others are saying, and hopefully will attract Brits from all over the country... who can say what is happening in their area...

Are you able to do it, or do we need to get one of the moderators to do it...

Also should we consider putting it in 'the impact' section...?

You've managed to start enough threads that we now have more than a page of topics. We've disabled starting more threads for the time being.

If you've got a recommendation for a new topic, feel free to post a reply here. Thanks!

Would it be an idea to move the Ranch and Roadtrip thread into the Fun section?

Hey Dave's little helper...or Jim,

Have you guys thought of having a future reunion for all the Brokeaholics around the world??? Not actually a reunion, because most of us have never met,but like a big get together in a banquet hall. Is that too big of a party to even suggest? How many people would that be?? ha ha ha.....only a few hundred thousand, that's all......!!!!!!!!  It'll take about a yr to plan,we all pay our way,of course.

Hmmmmm....interesting thought...

Nellie :)

This is my first post here, and I'm unsure about what to say.   :)  I guess I'll mention that I have a gay-themed website at http://www.daveant.net/RainbowsEnd/ that has a lot of poetry and writings related to the British films Beautiful Thing and Get Real among other things on it.  There's a page or two with Brokeback Mountain images and vdeo from video.google.com on them, too.  Please visit it, and send me your comments on it.  It doesn't matter if you want to pat me on the back or tear me a new one, as long as I hear from you.   :)

Thanks.

Edward

Why is it OK to discuss two women being together but not two men?

For example; the (male) DJ’s on the radio station I listen to in the morning are constantly making fun of BBM and the actors and gays in general and giggle like little girls.  They’ve played every parody song and told every BBM joke out there but as soon as the discussion turns to two women, they get all hot and bothered and go on and on about how hot it is to see two women together.

Why is it sexy when two women are loving each other but not when it’s two men?  This mentality kills me.  I don’t get it.  Are these men insecure with their own sexuality or are they just playing by society’s rules and being “real men”?
