Hello!

posting from the 'Bomb Cyclone' or whatever it is they are calling this weather pattern.   Under blizzard  conditions here.  High winds, heavy snow falling, it started about 3am today.  It may go on until 7:00 - 10:00 tonight!

Here, in New Hampshire, we're pretty blizzard-like.

The boss let us work from home, so I got an oil change and went to the supermarket.

The only easy day was yesterday.

    It always kills me how many people will come to work bundled up with jackets and gloves when it dips below 60*...if it's also windy and below 60, they freak, "It's freezing out there!".....sheesh, Austin...

No, it isn't.

The snow is starting to taper off  now, so I ran out and cleaned off the car.  The winds are really gusting out there, so I wanted it clean before it froze over.

I was able to shovel all around the car,  and clean it off, so I have plenty of room to maneuver if I need  to go forward or back, just in case.

60s to 20s in less than 12 hours

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Central Texas from midnight tonight until 6 p.m. tomorrow. Up to a quarter inch of ice is possible, with accumulating sleet and snow on top of that. That means we could have major travel issues, not limited to bridges/overpasses, starting before sunrise tomorrow and lasting through the day.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will be mild, with highs in the upper 60s and a mix of sun and clouds. Changes will be coming quickly, though, as the powerful cold front arrives around bedtime tonight. Temperatures may drop 20 degrees in one hour as the front passes.

Overrunning moisture behind the front will generate light showers late this evening, quickly transitioning to freezing rain, sleet and snow overnight.

At least you could arrange some interesting, if temporary, hairdos.

Ugh!  My geography is bad!  I'm assuming this is your area.   Do you have some supplies stored up, and are you able to just stay in and stay safe?
