I have never started a thread on this forum before; guess there is a first time for everything.

The topic here is Weather phenomena.  I live in the midwest, more specifically, central Missouri.  With May ended, and June here, along with the official start of the hurricane season; perhaps this thread will see some activity.  May in the midwest has seen some of the most active tornado activity in the past 25 years.  June promises to be an active month also.  Unfortunately with these storms come tremendous property damage, and loss of life.  Any photos you have of atmospheric abnormalities and/or the results of such are welcome.  Links to other weather related topics are also welcome.

Here is a photo from my lawn a week ago today, after a hail storm.  Since last Sunday, there have been three other instances of hail.  When conditions are safe I always go out and take photos.

Photos of Katrina over Mississippi

These pictures were taken by a man in Magee, MS where the eye of the storm passed thru - what an experience..

Magee is 150 miles North of Waveland, Mississippi where the Hurricane made land fall.

The dance with Katrina, part of her beauty as she left destruction on her exit. They are remarkably dramatic.

Wow, Charlie! Not quite as dramatic, but here's our bamboo in the backyard bent over by an ice storm on 22 February 2008.

I remember that one!  I have a number of the ones from the ice storm back in the winter here in Missouri, and may post some of them here in time.

I have a number of photos from the flood of 1993.  Will have to get them digitized (scanned) and post some of them here.
Also, have a rather dramatic couple of a storm front just two days ago.
