I guess that's why Jake's threads are so quiet nowadays...

To me, Jake will always be Jack, just like he is all of the other characters he has ever played - or will play. It's such a comfort to know how special Brokeback was (and still is) for Jake - he has said so many, many times.

we forget the feather in jack's black hat

but there are folks here who know
their magic tides come and grow

Where is My Muse?

It's been five years
since I've been here last
I can't believe
all that time has passed

the talkative one
with nothing to say
I wonder why
my muse went away

no strokes to the keyboard
talent output suspension
perhaps someone else
required her attention

so she had to leave
and inspire another
perhaps my needs
left her feeling smothered

reread some old poems
viewed with a new light
stirred something within
and I started to write

My muse has returned
she's no longer away
and I truly hope
that she's here to stay
