There are still great pics of him, mainly the photoshoots, though.
I think in many of the „public appearances“, where he probably doesn‘t wear (a lot of?) make up he looks greyer and older than I would expect from a 38 year old... :">

Eta: Just went back to Lashes to check...  :laugh: Who knows, maybe it‘s also the hair at the moment? I will keep an eye on that...  :laugh:

I did remark the other day that I'm sure he dyes his hair now.
He does seem to go for that dark auburn color which I don't
really like on men OR women.
Can I just add too...may be you might agree with me...but
I don't think losing all that weight for "Nightcrawler" did him
any favours. His face at certain angles still looks quite hollow
and his neck can still sometimes look (can I say it?) scrawny.
He seems to have lost that young fresh face...which took him
just a few months to lose for that damn movie and it hasn't
returned  :(


I still wouldn't kick him out of bed though !!!!!!!!

I have to agree on that. Especially in the recent pics of his new play he looks skinny - skinnier than we've seen him in a while.

He's on his way to 40. He won't be a boy forever. But didn't you think he looked much younger as Edward in 'Nocturnal Animals' and in 'Stronger'?

I still haven't decided whether I prefer him with or without facial hair these days. He seems a little more rugged with the beard, a little more mature. I like that a lot. As for his hair - I really don't care whether he dyes it or not. He probably does, yeah, but as long as it's thick and healthy he'll be fine.

As an actor, the best thing about Jake is how versatile he is. That's the thing that matters most to me. I just wish some of the films he's in would match his talent... He can do so much better than what he's given in 'Southpaw' or 'Life' - or even 'The Sisters Brothers'  :-X

That makes me sad sometimes, it really does. He's found his path and I really hope a new "once in a lifetime" role comes along soon. He so deserves it.
