"Rest of the world"....exactly.  Here in the US things are moving along, but my heart goes out to those in Africa and Russia.

Not to mention the Arab world.

So it will just take a little bit longer, Fritz, but it will happen! And we want to be there when you do!!  ;) :D

Thanks John, but I think Earl won't want to have much of a ceremony, so it will probably be on pretty short notice!

But thanks!

I think it is wonderful news, and I really wish you a wonderful day as soon as it becomes possible.

You have no idea how pleased I am to be able to say that!

"Until We Could", a poem by Richard Blanco, who wrote the poem he read at the Inauguration

Text of poem available here:

Incredible.

Looking so forward to the day that we can.

Marriage equality is the law of the land in Virginia!

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court denied the defendants' request in our Bostic case to hear oral argument on their claims against the freedom to marry. That means marriages for gay and lesbian couples will begin in Virginia as soon as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit issues its mandate - which could be at any moment!

Congratulations Fritz!

And not only that:

The Supreme Court also denied requests for review from defendants in cases from Utah, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Marriage equality will be the law of the land in those states as well with today's order. That means another 27 million Americans now enjoy the freedom to marry, and now over 52% of the U.S. population lives in a state with marriage equality.
