Comment from Facebook: "Jake fucking Gyllenhaal!!!"

Sounds familiar...  ;D

Sooooooooo looking forward to it. I love Heart's 'Crazy on you' in the trailer, so that's a bonus!

The posters is great!

And I've always been a die hard Naomi Watts fan.

Well, I missed a 'Demolition' screening at Pathé cinemas last weekend in Amersfoort (The Netherlands)  ::) , but hey ho - it's also playing at the Glasgow Film Festival, according to this review:

"Gyllenhaal, who’s played some magnificent outsiders of different stripes, from the troubled teen in Donnie Darko to the freaky freelance cameraman in Nightcrawler, turns in another engagingly brooding turn here. The actor gives his character just enough shade to keep us guessing; where will Davis’s breakdown take him? At certain points, he seems darkened and sinister enough to do something outright homicidal. Odd details like an old station wagon prowling outside Davis’s house and his fascination with taking apart an antique grandfather clock provide a pleasing ripple of off-beat tension."

Uhm  ;D

I found this review on the IMDb 'Demolition' page, no less. It was written by someone in The Netherlands (!!!), who has probably seen it at the Dutch Pathé screening last weekend. He gives it 1 out of 10. And thank you!  ;D   At first I thought his review wasn't serious, but it looks like the same guy gave 'Nightcrawler' 8 out of 10...  Anyway, here goes:

"Probably meant as a comedy of sorts, the film is totally ridiculous, not entertaining and insulting to the intelligence. The absurdity of the Gyllenhaal character and his love interest doesn't match the universe of the other characters in the movie which results in a total disconnect for the viewer. The script is weak and the contrived situations simply not funny. An attempt is made at infusing some symbolism but it's neither here nor there. A real stinker." 1/10

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1172049/

I wonder if he has seen 'Accidental Love' - or 'Enemy' for that matter  ;)

I've learned not to rely too much on the reviews anymore. Whether it's movies, music, books or anything else - there's no accounting for taste. And it's still fun to read what other people have to say - whether it's good or bad, whether it makes sense or not.
