Uhm. Aren't we very, very, VERY early?!

I'm planning on seeing 'Demolition' again this week, this fall 'Nocturnal Animals' will open (directed by Tom Ford and starring Jake as Tony) and after that it's 'Stronger', sceduled for 2017.

Oh well  ;D

I'm not familiar with all of Jeff Bauman's personal story, as I haven't read the 'Stronger' book yet. I'm only familiar with the details I've read online so far. All I can say is that I have great respect for people who are able to make the most of every day after such a tragedy - and I hope the film will honor that.

1. Newwa early enuff when it comes to Jake.

2. Still didn't get a chance to see Dem. *sighs*

3. I perfectly agree with you.

1.  ;D

2. We've decided to call it 'Demo' in its own thread. It won't open in Germany until June 16th (IMDb)  >:(

3.  :-*

With all the obedience I'm capable of, I'll add the missing -o.

 ;D

(For a German, this doesn't have a good sound / doesn't make much sense - for it's the abbreviation for "Demonstration", a political demonstration. For something. Whereas the movie deals with demolition, with deconstructing/destroying something.)

Hi Ingy, thanks for starting this topic. Could this be the magic "biopic moment"?  ;)

You're welcome.

It truly could.

And we know how audiences/award people LOVE biopics and the impersonation of existing or having-existed protagonists.

Guys, by now, I've made a pact with myself not to rely on (early) reviews anymore, whether they're good or bad. Or awards buzz or "O" talk or whatever. There has been so much of that for Jake in the past few years - and somehow he often gets overlooked.

Some reviews couldn't have been more wrong about D. and I'm still upset and angry about that. And of course I would love to see Jake get rewarded for his work - but most of all I hope he's enjoying what he's doing right now. He has said that Jeff is an inspiration to him and I hope that will come across on screen. Inspiration, respect, even love. And we can trust that Jake, as always, will give it his all.

I probably won't be able to stop reading reviews altogether (it's one of my habits), but I won't take them too seriously anymore.

I agree. I gave up on them because it was a roller coaster. I make an exception for our hero Chris Stuckmann.  :D

You're welcome.

It truly could.

And we know how audiences/award people LOVE biopics and the impersonation of existing or having-existed protagonists.

And especially American ones.  ;)
