I decided on my favorite Hallmark Christmas movie. It's not Oscar-worthy, of course, but out of all the movies I’ve seen this season, I like it. I like the characters and the actors, topped off by Christopher Lloyd and William Shatner in a minor role.
I love what Jason (the boyfriend) does when Lindsey is nervous before doing a Q&A at a book signing...it's just cute, is all.
The premise is different in that it’s not a girl paired with the obviously jerk boyfriend, who meets and rejects the obviously perfect (for her) boyfriend, until the last 2 minutes.
It’s on again on Tuesday 12/26 at 3pm central.
Summary from Hallmark channel:
Just in Time for Christmas
Lindsay Rogers has to make a tough decision: stay in her small town hometown and marry longtime beau and coffee shop owner Jason Stewart, or accept a once in a lifetime job offer, teaching at an Ivy League college thousands of miles away. Fortunately, a magical messenger gives her a priceless Christmastime gift. Stars Eloise Mumford, Michael Stahl-David, William Shatner and Christopher Lloyd.
From critic review on IMDb:
What this all boils down to is that "Just in Time for Christmas" is a nice Christmas movie which comes up with a creative new spin on the "What If" theme. But whilst it is a fun take and a fun Christmas movie I wouldn't say it was anything special.I think it's a
little special...
