I had never heard of this until Jenny posted it.   Sounds interesting.  ;D

I've been arguing with myself for months about whether or not to get a convection oven.  I wanted one, but I also wanted an air fryer, and definitely didn't need both, but the combination oven and air fryer was about $300 - no way.

One of the people I follow on IG had a 15% off coupon on a Simple Living convection oven, and it has an air fryer function...I've been checking it out and the coupon expires tomorrow, so I ordered it.  Hope it lives up to the hype

I saw Jenny post about this in the Diner, thanks Jenny!  This is exactly what I need!  I have downsized considerably and gotten rid of two or three furniture pieces that were one-of-a-kind, that I wish I still had, but I really only think of them occasionally.

Now I mostly have some antique furniture pieces that I really love, my parents bedroom set from the 1920s...but lots and lots of wall art...prints in antique frames, lovely old, elaborately framed mirrors...and I have a "thing" for old lamps, so there's that  ::)

The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning: How to Free Yourself and Your Family from a Lifetime of Clutter
A charming, practical, and unsentimental approach to putting a home in order while reflecting on the tiny joys that make up a long life.

In Sweden there is a kind of decluttering called döstädning, dö meaning “death” and städning meaning “cleaning.” This surprising and invigorating process of clearing out unnecessary belongings can be undertaken at any age or life stage but should be done sooner than later, before others have to do it for you. In The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning, artist Margareta Magnusson, with Scandinavian humor and wisdom, instructs readers to embrace minimalism. Her radical and joyous method for putting things in order helps families broach sensitive conversations, and makes the process uplifting rather than overwhelming.

I so need to do this...

I'm stopping shopping!

But before I do...I just ordered this print on canvas.  I tend toward the melancholy, so the way the girl is sitting in the chair appeals to me...but I like the blue bird, that she doesn't even realize is there...

Thanks, Chuck...it doesn't really fit in with the Swedish death cleaning thing that I'm trying to embrace, though  ;D ...I should be getting rid of stuff....

You're so funny!  Never throw away grandma's cupboard!

The print is due in the mail today, can't wait to see it...as for where to hang it...something else will have to go...

here's the website where I found it  https://www.saatchiart.com/

replaced by the new one...but I don't like the background so now I want to paint the living room  :(

and looking at it now, it's also too high...

Just wanted to point out the picture on the far left is my Mom, age 12, taken about 1928.
