I saw that too, I think NJ had flounder.   What?  When people talk about NJ food, it's always diners and Taylor Ham and cheese, and other things.

Never flounder.

Some of these regional specialties don't seem to be exactly of the region they specify.

New Mexico has pozole. Never heard of it.
Texas is Tortilla Soup.

I wonder who the hell picked these??

They're showing a movie called Home For Christmas Day...I think it should be banned on any channel.

It's a stupid romance but that's not the problem for me.  They announce the death of a soldier, and everyone is upset and crying, then all of a sudden - oops!  It's a mistake, he's ok.

What a horrible premise for a movie.  Life doesn't work like that, only Hollywood does...

Well, the refinance on the house went through, I close next Wednesday.  They don't give you a check at signing, they wait 3 days in case you change your mind.  There are so many things that need to be done to the house - unfortunately, the most important, and most expensive, is the one I want to do least - plumbing, but that will be first.  Then some work to the A/C unit, and I'm getting some trees trimmed...then the fun will start.

I'm wasting spending too much time on Pinterest looking for some landscaping ideas, I want to redo the 1961 kitchen, put up board and batten in the dining room, rip out the carpet in the bedrooms and hall and put laminate down, and make some cosmetic changes to both bathrooms.  I figure I'll be out of money by 4th of July   ;)

Good luck with all that, Nancy!

It seems an awfully lot of work to do, even if you're not gonna do it yourself. You still have to order and arrange everything.

Hi Sonja!  Thanks for the good luck wishes, I'm gonna need them.  It is a lot of calling and arranging and leaving work at lunch to meet contractors for bids.  I had one guy come out today and he gave me a very reasonable bid on trimming some of the trees, and I meet another one Monday at noon.
Bye, Felicia

Gotta give a pat on the back to chewy.com.  I ordered a new plastic pen for the dogs, and I thought it came without the pegs that hold the panels together.  I got on chat and the customer service rep said she would send replacements.

Well, I got an email that my order had shipped, and they sent me a whole new pen!  And then I found the pegs.  I got back on chat last night to see if I should just return it unopened, and the rep said instead of sending it back, I could donate it to a shelter.  So that's what I'm gonna do, donate it to the shelter where I got Buddy and Emmett.  Good job, Chewy!

Seems like a good start.

Hope you find some good-honest-reasonable contractors.
