I finally managed to get something done, this one is for my boy. I sew so selten that I always make the same beginner's mistakes, but I thought you would understand why I could not resist to sew something with this fabric.

^^^^^ Looks pretty professional to me, Elena. I sew,  but would never attempt to sew a sweat shirt.
Just love the material!!

It's beautiful, of course I love the fabric  :)  And what a talent you have for sewing.  I have none, zero...I just sent out for a quote for someone to sew drapes for me, just side, bottom and top hems - even that i can't do - hopeless in the sewing department.

It's really not so difficult, Linda, you just need a sew machine and good patterns. I have a friend who sews professionally and she always laughs at my attempts  ;D Nancy, if you saw the inner part you would change your mind about my talent  And that inner part is what my friend always looks...

I guess because I have never attempted a sweatshirt before Elena. I learned how to sew when I was in the convent, and sewed habits for the nuns. I was taught by a taskmaster of sewing and we could not turn out anything inferior. I guess that's a good thing.

The axe throwing was fun yesterday.  I really didn't want to go (and I think next time we should have to do my suggestion, which was competitive antique shopping).  But I went to lunch first with 2 other people and then went to the venue.  It's very bare bones, BYOB beer and wine only, no food, just throwing stalls separated by chain link and targets drawn on plywood.

They have 2 coaches that show you how to do and give you pointers.  Everybody gets turns throwing then you compete two at a time.  I made 20 points total, including 2 bulls eyes!  But that score didn't get me to the final competition.

this is how the lanes are set up, 2 people throw at a time.

I'm afraid that activity is not something I'd like to take part in or enjoy. I guess if work makes you attend, but I think I'd just watch.
