Nocturnal Animals Discussion Thread - Spoilers Allowed
« on: March 01, 2017, 04:08:30 PM »
I bought this (Jake Gyllenhaal) movie today, I couldn't find a
discussion thread for it, so...

The movie has been playing about 20 minutes as of this writing,
I'll probably write my review in the next few days.

I've watched Nocturnal Animals several times.

The movie is unusual, a novel written by one of
the (movie) real life characters is intercut
with (movie) real life (some actors are in both
the novel and real life segments).

It was interesting watching the actors in the
novel segments work with cliched and/or
over the top situations.

One line of dialog stands out (to me):
"Oh, Susan, enjoy the absurdity of our world."

I give Nocturnal Animals 7/10

Thanks for starting this thread, LisLis.  I've moved it to the Jake, Heath section.  :)
