Hi Fritz!

I announced I was back at home ....reason being our Airline Company went into liquidation while we were in Turkey !! Had a few nerve wracking days wondering how we would get back. Thought we were stuck there for good.  How terrible would  that have been ?? !!!  ::)

Oh geeez!   That must've been unsettling!

A party at work (Earl's coming too, I'll pick him up from the last Metro station since because of Metro construction between there and the airport, it would be too difficult for him to drive on the Dulles Access Road), just pizza and beer, nothing too fancy. At noon on the 26th.

I am so glad he has decided to go, Fritz!! :-*  :-*  :-*  :-*  :-*

Early bed for me tonight. I have my follow up mammogram tomorrow and then I have errands to run.
Nighty all! ♥

A cooking website was advocating meals using chicken thighs instead of chicken breasts.
In the comments section, Big Bad John chimed in with

A kith is just a kith, and a thigh is just a thigh.

And why are we shown this trivial detail? Because that truck carries the most important cargo of our puny lives:  love and hope.

Hey y'all, overcast and mild all day today, kinda gloomy, though not very much rain.

Choir practice tonight!

And yeah, Jonn, we actually used to drink a lot more beer at work, especially after the final flight of the day left. We had to stay a half hour just in case the plane returned, which happened a handful of times. Unfortunately, those days are long past.

Even though it's still over a month away, we need to practice the Mozart.

Sara, by the way, it's the "Laudate Dominum" from the Vesperae solennes de confessore K 339.

A rather quiet setting. We've got an excellent soprano to do the solo, the one with the choir dog as her service animal, not sure if I've mentioned her or not.

The other piece our choir will be doing is a setting of Praise to the Lord the Almighty.
