I understand baseball well, as both boys played from T-ball to high school and I used to have to keep score, so had to know all the rules.
Jonathan got his nickname "Woody" when playing baseball. He played in high school when the aluminum bats were big. He hated the aluminum bats because of the terrible vibration when it connected with the ball, so he was the only kid playing with a wooden bat.
One of his friends was announcing the game, so when Jonathan came up to bat, he announced him as, "next up to bat, Jonathan 'Woody' Andrews." It stuck and his friends still use it to this day.
