I just wandered in a bit ago. I am going to have some bacon and eggs like Ingy suggested.

Sounds good to me!!!

Hi to Tony, Michelle, and Debbie in the new diner!!

Hi Linda. I am so happy to hear Lilia had a better day and the temp stayed down. I am sure you can breath easier. Enjoy your bacon and eggs! It's making me hungry!
I know a love that will never grow old.

Good night Ingster!

Welcome to the new diner, Ingy, Michelle, Tony & Debs!

Thanks, Chuck.

I vote for the suggestion that we have bacon and eggs.   ;D

Hey Chuck. ❤️

Yes, she had a better day today. Her temp did not get above 100.5, although she did have a couple of melt downs.

It seems when she gets more active, other than just resting and watching Paw Patrol, her temp goes up.

Then Paw Patrol it is!   :)

She needs to rest, I'm sure.  It's hard keeping her in bed, I can imagine, but that's the best place for her right now.

Hi to Tony, Michelle, and Debbie in the new diner!!

Hi, Linda.  I spoke to you, but neglected to greet you.

My tree is done!  Looks fantastic with the old-fashioned multi-color (and multi-shaped) ornaments that were in the attic.

I'm going to have a very early night tonight.

Tomorrow I have a real appointment (means: going to an office, not talking on the phone) at 10 AM, so will need to get ready early.  Then at least one errand afterwards, maybe more.

Good night everyone, see you tomorrow.

Congrats on finishing the tree, Debs!

I had a "drama moment" today.

I had mailed the last of my Christmas cards yesterday, or so I thought.  Apparently one card remained on the seat and I didn't see it.  I got into the car today, looked at the seat, saw the card, and said "Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

I dropped it off today.  Thankfully, the addressees are in NJ, so they'll get it before the holiday.

You were right, Ingy!   :)

Fritz is gone, but I wanted to tell him that my CBS news must have already been on, because it's local news again now.

Yeah, back from practice now. CBS network news is at 6:30, NBC during the week at 7, on weekends at 6:30.

At least that's the way things are here. They might delay the broadcast in other cities, or do another feed. I'm sure they do a live feed for West Coast cities at their (for us) later times.

I was wrong. While there was no university graduation today, there are 2 Polytechnic graduations this afternoon so lots of gowns being worn in the street. I do not know what these are called in the USA but in Australia they are called Colleges of Technical and Further Education (TAFE). I use to work as a casual teacher in some of these in Western Sydney and do not remember any graduation ceremonies there.
The first procession today is seen at

My coffee group were amazed that I still have my first academic hood, hanging in my cupboard. BA ermine (actually rabbit fur).  Usually people hire them these days but I use to wear it preaching and at School Speech nights in my early days of teaching. That also seems to have gone by the board now. Have not worn it for 40 years but I check and it is not yet mildewed.

In the really old days here they called Tech Colleges trade schools, but that has gotten a rather unpleasant connotation, that those who go there were not of college material. Depends on the state, but many of them have a very good reputation now.

In New Orleans what used to be called Delgado Trade School became Delgado Vocational-Technical Junior College, and now Delgado Community College. Community Colleges generally offer a two-year Associate degree, considered one step below a Bachelor degree.

New Diner, new people??!  ;) ;)

I went to see Widows tonight......just a so-so film to me, reminded me of Movies made for TV.......just my opinion. Glad I got to watch Colin Farrell though.......he's always a TREAT to me....... ;D ;D ;D

I doubt it will garner any Oscar noms though, even with a stellar cast.........

now I need to go watch the KC football game, I recorded it......we'll see how the Chargers handle KC!!  :o
