Asians
« on: April 01, 2006, 09:03:54 AM »
hi everyone..
i'm nadia...all the way from jakarta indonesia  :)
that why i chhose the nickname sun, because we have that here on the equator like everyday of the year..

please forgive my english because its not my first language...
( i hate sounding so formal  ;D )

i'm 30years old, married to a wonderful husband and a mother of two beautiful babies :)
i just saw bbm 5 days ago..and i've watched them for the 5th times today ..
my friends think im crazy for being so infatuated w/ the movie.. :-[

honestly..im a bit shocked at myself for the way i reacted to this movie..
cant stop thinking about it..cant stop crying about it...cant stop wishing?
does that make sense at all?

but none of my friends here seem to understand the depth of the scene by scene of bbm..
the simplest smile..
the ennies's teardrops..
the redness of jake's face (the reunion scene) and stuff like that..
i had to turn to google for this..and thank god i found this forum..

really hoped to be welcome here..
cant wait to post my own thoughts on the scene by scene thread  :)

Welcome, Nadia - I've been here since February but only recently started posting. I think it is safe to say that everybody here understands what you are feeling, even if we find it hard to put into words. I also had to come here to find people to talk to. There is always something new to discover here so enjoy your visits!

Hello Nadia...apa kabar ;)
I'm from Indonesia also, been visiting here for a few months now...but recently been very busy (working and watching the DVD  ;D ), so can't login as much as before....
Only been able to watch 4 times...but did bought 5 DVDs for me and my friends.
buying original one, not the pirated one :p ...

I reacted the same way as you....I'm happily married to a wonderful woman, and I'm what many call/label a bisexual (my wife do know my sexual-orientation before we're married). you can read about my 'brokeback story' in my previous post (click on my profile to read my past posts)

anyway...glad to find another indonesian here in the forum....plan to watch it again tonight on my DVD (been watching it on DVD  for 50++ times already, I think). hope you enjoy your visit here as much as me....

I'm from Taiwan and  there is a huge community of BMM fan here too. We discuss, talk, watch and love this movie. Many of my friends said they can't get out of this BMM atmosphere for 4 months. It's good to be here. Thank you!

Thats soo cool that over in the Asian counrty's  BrokeBack is like HUGE .

Are there a lot of women where you come from that love the movie? I have about 4 friends who are actually in it with me and one of them is a lesbian (I thought she would have found it boring hahaha).

Hi and welcome! I'm so grateful for the internet because it can connect people from all over the world to places like this forum. I sometimes wonder how my young life would have been different if the internet had existed. Glad you found this place. Enjoy. Your english is very good!

Hi Nadia,
You're not the only Brokaholic one in Asia, same here in Japan.
I really feel proud of Ang, such a Maestro coming from Far Eastern Asia having made a terrific and phenomenal job like this.

Did you get a copy of DVD? It's good to have one.
Happy if I could talk to you later.
