Just want to express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Jackie. Although I didn't know her, it was always evident from reading her posts that she was a very sweet and caring person. This world, especially today, is always in need of people with those attributes. May the memories of the good times you had together provide you a measure of comfort and happiness at this difficult time.

One final picture from the BBQ, which I have not posted before. Jackie did not forbid me to post it, but at the time I thought it was too overwhelming, at the moment when she held the shirts for the first time and realized what she was holding.



If anyone objects to seeing this picture, please let me know and I will delete it.

One day Jackie and I were chatting in the diner. She had just baked a bunch of oatmeal raisin cookies.
I mentioned they sounded yummy. A week later the postman left me a package- Jackie's cookies.

We lived on opposite sides of the country, never met, never talked in RL. But that was Jackie. She
had love and a selfless kindness that had no use for boundaries.

Jackie was one of the beating hearts of this forum, part of the daily pulse that kept this spot a warm
and welcoming place for all.

I'll miss you, honey. Kiss Heath for me. :-*

This should never be taken down. Annie Proulx's masterpiece gave our bud a new life, and her tears here are an expression of her humanity, of her faith in life. Blurred, out of focus, it is one of the loveliest photos here.
