Jack: ..Tell ya the truth, I got past being ready in 1978.....You gonna let me, Ennis del Mar??
Ennis:....Maybe. You keep bitchin about everything: 'the bed's too small'; 'the shower's too cold' ' that Don wroe didn't leave us no beer.'
Jack:....You got a point, friend. He may not a left us no beer; but it sure was nice he left you his cabin. How many weekends you figure we can squeeze in until next year?
Ennis;...I can probably do it at least twice a month, since you'll be over in LF-shouldn't be too hard a drive, right?
Jack: ...Nah. I been doin 1200 mile drives for 16 years now-a half day there and back twice a month-I can live with that. Gives me a chance to get the ranch up, and now that Lurene's agreed on the settlement, I can start getting the lumber for the cabin. When'd you tell the boss you was taking the next week off?
Ennis: I told him in about 3 months....that oughta do it, I figure...I'm done with child support next year, so ......
