Randall [thinking]: Poor Jack, he's got it so bad.  That Lureen seems like a real bitch.  I hear their boy takes after her too.  God knows LaShawn's a challenge to live with, but at least she knows better than to carry a white purse before Easter.

Lureen: It is a silver purse, thank you very much, and yes, I'm psychic.  I get it from Fayette.
Jack: <gulp!>
The book is Ennis; the movie is Jack.
Jack's death made the story greater; the Academy's tire iron made the movie greater.

Oh, you shouldn't have brought me into this, ass face!  Jesus Christ, What a picture!  So, this is the new one, huh Dad?  Doesn't seem your type.  For one thing, he speaks more than 2 words at a time, and he doesn't have a Spanish accent and ask for money up front.  Oh, I see, an animal husbandry major?  What the hell kinda stupid degree is that?  How many animals you husbanded?  He he he.  Oh, never mind, I've seen your wife!  Hey, Randy, does this bring back some fond memories?  Squeeeeel squeeeel!  He he.  Now, FYI, my dad is a former sheepherder y'know, so he might go baaaa baaaa instead.  I'm sure you'll be able to make that adjustment, ya' filthy bastard.  And just look at Mom.  What a trainwreak!  Just totally out of it from huffing all those Miss Clairol chemicals.  I really ought to charge admission to this funhouse!

Jack's Subconscious: Oh yeah! I got him now! I know that postcard means just what it says and nothing more! I know my En! It's why I haven't quit my job or told Lureen I'm leaving for good! But now I'll drive up there pretending to expect something different---he'll freak-reject me and cause me such pain that I'll have my excuse for Mexico and more! Plus I'll get all all the sympathy! And here's the best part! His rejection will remind me of when my Dad pissed on me and beat me! It will make me feel that bad only next month I'll get some reconciliation from En that I never got from the old man! This is going to be great! woohooo!!

Jesus, if I have a heart attack, I hope you know what to do.

Get Shorty

I'm not gonna say any more than I have to, if that.

Get Shorty

You know, Ennis, if you're as good in bed as you are on the dance floor, then you're one lousy f**k.

to jam you into. You let 'em do that and you're gonna end up in nothing but misery!

Do matin' calls get any louder than that?
