Glad you liked it!

He and his skating partner, Gabriella Papadakis, are 5-time European champions, and 4-time World Champions.

Here is their routine from 2019.

Interesting article about 'Coming Out' by a past Rugby Union star in Australia.
Not sure you can access the actual article in the Sydney Morning Herald
https://www.smh.com.au/sport/rugby-union/my-own-death-felt-preferable-to-anyone-discovering-i-was-gay-20201029-p569os.html
but it is reported on in the ABC website

I read in in The Age yesterday. It is a very eloquent testimony.

My sister sent me an email about it although I read the SMH online (with her password) but do not check sports articles although it is now in main area.
I later saw the ABC article and now see it is in the NZ news. I guess anything to do with Rugby Union.

Both very interesting links.  TY for posting.  For sure a hard road to self-being.
The very telling quote of how close he as to the edge:  "I fantasied about disappearing, changing my name and starting my life all over again," Palmer wrote.

Stay safe, stay alive!  V.

There was an article this morning on Weekend Edition Saturday, an interview with the pastor of a black Baptist congregation in Harlem. A quote of the pastor relating a talk with one of his parishioners, the father of a transgendered child: "My son and I now have a relationship that my daughter and I never had." Powerful words. It occurs at the end of the article (5:40).

Kate Winslet says she knows gay actors who fear coming out will destroy their careers
April 4, 2021

https://news.yahoo.com/kate-winslet-says-she-knows-214928772.html

There are gay actors in Hollywood who fear coming out will derail their careers, according to Kate Winslet. "I cannot tell you the number of young actors I know — some well known, some starting out — who are terrified their sexuality will be revealed and that it will stand in the way of their being cast in straight roles. Now that's f—ed up," Winslet said in a new interview with The Times' Culture magazine.

"I'm telling you. A well-known actor has just got an American agent and the agent said, 'I understand you are bisexual. I wouldn't publicize that.' I can think of at least four actors absolutely hiding their sexuality," she continued. "It's painful. Because they fear being found out. And that's what they say. 'I don't want to be found out.'"

Winslet added that from her perspective, the stigma applies to "men more than anything. It's bad news." The Academy Award-winning actress spoke on the topic while discussing her film Ammonite, a romantic drama about British paleontologist Mary Anning (Winslet) and her lover, Charlotte Murchison (Saoirse Ronan). "A conversation about straight actors in gay roles is incredibly important," Winslet said. "I hope there will come a time when it is automatic that [gay] actors get those parts and you wouldn't have to put punchy film stars in to get it made."

She added, "We could have had a conversation about how I feel about playing a lesbian and possibly taking that role from somebody, but I'm done with not being honest about what my real opinions are, and I know the part was never offered to anybody else. In taking this part, I had an opportunity to bring an LGBTQ story into living rooms." Ammonite is available to stream on Hulu.

Is she saying she thinks it should be "automatic" that gay actors get gay roles? If she is, I disagree with her. I don't think it should be "automatic."
