It IS very cool, but reading that the story is American based, I'm becoming really annoyed that the roles of Americans are continually being cast with British, Irish, Australian actors. (I never used to think about such things and some of this comes from articles I'm reading in Los Angeles circles with American actors complaining about casting agents who seem to be enamored with casting anyone but Americans. And, by the way, the British film industry has rules about movie productions in their country about hiring British actors, even if the films are financed by Hollywood. You didn't see any Americans in Harry Potter movies, did you?) And the director is from South Africa.
But this story: "...a journey through the life of America (not the UK), across the 20th century and the traditions of American folk music, all seen through the bond between two men immersed in the history of sound.” Your thoughts?
