I'm off for my day trip to Ulm.

Hope not to be bothered by traffic jams.

Hello Chuck

How are you?

When I came home from the market this afternoon, there was a bag of cheeseburgers from Hungry Jacks that we didn't order outside our front door. There was no name or address on the label, so I don't know who ordered it and there was no contact number for Hungry Jacks. I went out to the street wondering who ordered it or if it was even someone in our street.

It is not the first time things we haven't ordered and never would have been delivered to our place. Sometimes we've got letters addressed to a house in a different street.

A stranger parked a car that he has been parking in front of our place for about three weeks now. It was the first time I've seen him I asked him why. He said he has lived in the Ministry of Housing block of flats round the corner up the hill for 7 years. His number plates were stolen like ours were. The police told him it was someone from the flats but they have no proof. Because of that and other problems. with other tenants who are druggies and alcoholics, he applied for a transfer somewhere else but the Ministry has not responded.

We chatted for a few minutes. When I mentioned the bag from Hungry Jacks, he asked what was in it. I gathered he is unemployed, which means he must be struggling and would find it very hard to find work at the age of 58 so when he asked Dif he could have the cheeseburgers, I gave him the bag.

Hello Tony!  It's good to see you today.

I'm ok, keeping busy with work and such, but there's a break in the requests so I'm peeking in here now.

How weird about the bag of food.  Usually, when a delivery is dropped off here, the person making the delivery waits until you come to the door to accept delivery.  Even with the pandemic, they'll ring the bell, put the bag on the ground, and then step back about 6 feet and wait until you come pick up the food.

I guess it was meant to be, for you to get that food, so you could give it to someone in need.
