Sounds pretty bad.  Two million people w/o power.  I especially hope our forum family people in the NorthEast do ok.  At least it's supposed to warm up again, fairly quickly.  Good luck to everyone up there, and, be careful !

Here in Bucks County - a suburb of Philly -- power was out yesterday from afternoon 'till 10 pm, although other areas of Bucks is still affected by power outages. The roads were slick and lots of trees and branches were down which affected the power lines.  I spent the night at my daughter's when her power came back fairly quickly.  I'm home now and there's no place like it when the heat goes back on! As the paper said, "early winter storm causes regional havoc."

Tonight the Eagles play at home in Philly and the temp will be bitter cold. I don't envy the fans, but a lot of them will be 'tuned up,' no doubt. ;D

Here in NoVa things were very frosty with some patches of snow around. A few of the smaller bridges were closed on the way to church, but later on in strong sunlight they were open again after melting ice.

No power in NH.  Only about 6" at my house, but heavy and wet, so it brought down power lines.

Can't believe that Plainfield MA got 27.8" of snow out of this system. Unheard of for October.

And it's warm in Nice, and fairly mild in Sweden! Very strange indeed!

Damn, I heard some people on the east coast are STILL out of power!

What is up wih that? We had our power go out a few days ago, for 5 or 6 hours,,, that was bad enough.

But two or three weeks?  >:(
