Yikes! Twisters in Jersey. An acquaintance of mine keeps in touch with two friends in New Jersey and they couldn't believe how much rain kept falling.

Now I'm inspired to be cheeky:

Meanwhile, in SoCal we're having abnormal weather, too.
Instead of high August/early September heat (it reached
111 a year ago) our week has been cloudy and the high
temps in the 70's.  Horrible.   :laugh:   And 60's at night.
Unheard of.  :o

The humidity the past two months in Southern California
has blessedly kept fires to a bare minimum. I noticed it
was 96% when I retired last night. That's quite unusual
during this time of year.

All of a sudden, out of nowhere, we are having a pretty bad thunderstorm.  Very loud thunder and very bright lightning.
