Hi Lyle. Nope not early at all. I have pics from in the past that there was snow by mid October. One year it snowed right before Halloween and the girls had to wear coats, scarves and snow boots over their costumes. So this is not unusual. Although we might not have anymore until January or February. We'll just have to see.
