I'm glad to be able to give you an idea about our weather. New Mexico is considered to be in the Southwest. Texas is our neighbor to the east, and Arizona to the west. Even though these states are among the southern most states of the country, we have mountains and deserts in the state. Our snow amount varies.
The deep southern states are mostly the ones that are along the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic ocean inland to a certain point. It's not a formal division among the states but this may give you a better idea.
