Want something a little spooky for Halloween?

Here is a video of 6 hours in a 'haunted' mansion.  Consider it a 'yule log' for Halloween.  A darkened living room as you watch a crackling fire, as a thunderstorm and howling wind play in the background.

So, does anyone have any plans for Thanksgiving?

Mom and dad will be having the meal at their place, but due to the rise in virus numbers, it will be just four of us.   Mom and dad are handling the traditional parts of the meal.  I'm making a sauce with Italian sausages and meatballs.

So, does anyone have any plans for Thanksgiving?

I've spent sparse Thanksgiving's before so this might be another. There's a possibility I may visit a friend
who's been having some health problems, not COVID, and I may visit him. He doesn't want to bother with
either me or him cooking anything. He might get a delivery from Sunset Blvd.'s Greenblatt's Deli which has
been there for near 100 years!  We actually ate Thanksgiving dinner in there one year. When I worked
nearby at Virgin megastore years ago they catered a Thanksgiving dinner for us all on our breaks from there.
I actually had two Thanksgiving dinners that year, one for lunch at Virgin and one later on in the evening
with several friends at their place!

So far I don't know of anyone else I know making any sort of plans this year. Most of us are not near our families
and no one is traveling, that's for sure.

It will just be me, my son and DIL and the two girls and their other set of grandparents. This has pretty much been the holiday gatherings for us all year.

I'll be by myself, though if my neighbor Nancy and her husband go to a place like the Outback a couple of days before, assuming that they're open, they've invited me to go with them.

And just now at church members of our choir, a husband and wife and daughter, invited me to share food with them on Thanksgiving Day, not at their house because they don't feel comfortable having guests due to the pandemic, but will fix me some food to go get from them and bring home. I'm hoping we'll have a mass on Thanksgiving Day, but haven't heard either way yet.

Werd ich zum Augenblicke sagen, "Verweile doch! Du bist so schön..."

Every year the USPS gets thousands of letter to Santa Claus. I happened along a website that has been posting some of them they've come across this year.

Here is one from Will:

A tin replica of a nutcracker, a cat that twerks, Santa, some snow globes and some Rudolph decorations.

Some items that made it to the kitchen.  A Peanuts tin, a hot chocolate mug, a Christmas cookie scented candle, a holiday bag and soup mug, and a travel mug with some tacky sweaters on it.

Love the cuddly toy crowd ! Especially the "Yeti" at the back !
The "Snowman Soup" bowl made me laugh!
Your Christmas tree looks wonderful.

Do I remember you having some BBM tree decorations
a few years ago ? Do you still have them ? I'm
screwing my eyes up like pin holes trying to spot them
on the tree this time !!!

Hello Suely!

I have a number of cowboy themed ornaments that get onto the tree each year.

As for Brokeback specific, I have a few that were all gifts from Brokies.

This is a close replica of Ennis' truck.
