This really didn't fit anywhere else, so I'm posting it here.
Some news for comic strip and comic book fans, Ramona Fradon passed away today, at the age of 97.
Ramona Fradon got her first regular assignment at DC Comics. She penciled Adventure Comics, which starred Aquaman. She also co-created his sidekick, Aqualad.
She went on to co-create the character Metamorpho, and then went on to be the penciler for the books Freedom Fighters, Plastic Man, and The Super Friends.
From 1982 to 1995, Ramona Fradon was the illustrator of the newspaper comic strip Brenda Starr, Reporter.
Fradon continued to work and draw art, up until her retirement last month, just one month before her death.
Ramona, you will be missed. Thank you for sharing your talent with us all. Thank you for developing my love for comic books.
And thank you for bringing my childhood favorites to life on the pages of DC.
