I look forward to every new Jake film, but I'm not hesitant to criticize it if I feel he and the film are subpar, after all, his talents are too good to be wasted on dreck.

That's certainly fair, Nikki. :)

I really like being a squeeing fangirl sometimes though. It's good to feel passionate about something, and I like following Jake; it's my hobby. I visit Eyelashes and here, and two good Jake blogs.

Bring on the squeeing!:) RL can get too much at times. Things can get too serious.

I put this in Lashes, but I thought it might be of interest here, too.

You Tube videos of Jake's appearance at the New Yorker event.

Thanks Barb.  It's nice to Jake being funny and cute, too.
The shirts hanging on a nail shudder slightly in the draft.

If he does not force his attention on it, it might stoke the day, rewarm that old, cold time on the mountain when they owned the world and nothing seemed wrong.

Bliss was it in that dawn to be alive
But to be young was very heaven!

i'm glad to read any good review of LAOD...even eonline

If you were worried that the sandy residue of Prince of Persia would stay lodged in your Jake Gyllenhaal-loving brain forever, then get ready to forget the hunk ever starred in that disaster of an action flick.

We recently saw Love and Other Drugs—Jake's latest flick that hits theatres next month—and it's good...really good.

Okay but Ted C is not a good source--not just for the idiotic Toothy Tile stories but because he CLEARLY and EMPHATICALLY stated five years ago when BBM came out that he didn't like the film at all--he even mocked Jake's performance and laughed at his chance of getting an Oscar. He's a jerk. Oh and you would never believe he's in his late 40s/early 50s considering how his blog has become nothing more than a haven for Twilight fans.

Agree about Ted C but he's pretty patheic and bitter.

Jake has a new girlfriend, his facial hair. I swear there has been more press about that darn reddish rug on his chin than any woman he's dated.  Polls have been created even in the Washington Post.

I'm bitter too, I want to me on Jake's chin.

I have no use whatsoever for Ted Casablanca. I hate that smarmy "blind item"  "and it ain't" stuff.

I expect there will be a lot of good reviews for LAOD. I'm crossing my fingers that it will be a big success for Jake and Anne.

I can't stop thinking that on Saturday night at the New Yorker event, Jake said there was an "air of love"' during the making of BBM.  Sigh...

That air of love was in every theater showing it, too. And in every DVD afterward. And in this forum as well as in all forums dedicated to Brokeback. And in the magical chords of Santaolalla's guitar. And in everything that regards our film.

I agree about Ted C, he sounds like a bitter man.

Since when does Jake have a new gf?   I heard rumors about him and Rachel Bilson but both reps deny it.
