Finally...a use for Trump.

Heh!
Does anyone remember an early 1960's Disney film (it might have been made for the Sunday night
Disney program) called "Sammy, the Way-Out Seal?" It was a childhood favorite of mine, I guess,
because I was the age of the boys in it and there was lots of slapstick. About ten years ago I came
across a VHS of it, so I got it and watched it again. One of the stars in it was Robert Culp and the
next day I went to the grocery store and who did I run into in an aisle? Robert Culp! I told him that
it was odd because I'd just seen him in that film the night before. His response was something about the
experience being kind of negative and Disney being really "cheap." I just replied that it was a childhood
favorite of mine and said "thank you." Which reminds one that just because we like a work that an artist
of any kind is involved with, the experience for them may not hold the same sentiments and their reaction
to the public may not be what we might want!
I remember the writer Larry Gelbart being interviewed on PBS once. He was asked about the film Tootsie
that he was involved with. He responded by saying that he understands that the film is held in high regard
and that most people seem to love it and all, but for him, the experience working on it was so horrendous
that he cannot share that viewpoint and so he doesn't discuss it any further.
