Thanks, Chuck.  I'm glad you liked the fireplace one.  I wasn't sure whether to post it because it was so dark, but it does show how cozy the fireplace made the room in the morning.

One time I even turned the fireplace on when I woke up early, and got back in bed to watch it until it was time to get up.  Very pleasant!

Beautiful pictures, Debbie. :) I've been to Acadia and Bar Harbor, Rockport and Camden--Maine is a lovely place to relax. Got to plan to go back sometime soon. :)

Thanks, Jenny.  I hope you do make it back there soon.

Boothbay Harbor is also very relaxing because you can walk from the hotels to the shopping and eating places downtown across that bridge, at your own pace.  It probably wasn't as pretty as Bar Harbor, but I enjoyed the location.

Some photos from last week's trip to Christchurch.
I stopped for coffee at the Waitaki River Bridge.The rivers come out of glacier and are wide, braided streams so the bridges are long. This is not the longest. It is further north at Rakaia.
