And, of course, this whole mess stems from the lawyer, Bruce Castor, who was one of the pathetic attorneys trying to defend Trump in an impeachment trial, wouldn't you know.

He was very well thought-of once. Sorta like Rudi Giuliani was. ...

Trump once told a caller that Rudy Giuliani drank too much, was a loose cannon, and said 'a lot of s---' that wasn't true, new book says

Sonam Sheth - 07/08/21

Former President Donald Trump once told a caller in the days after the November 2020 election that he knew his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani drank too much and often said things that weren't true.

That's according to "Landslide: The Final Days of the Trump Presidency," by Michael Wolff, an early copy of which was obtained by Insider.

Wolff painted a damning portrait of Giuliani as he was perceived by Trump's aides and even the president himself, to whom Giuliani remains deeply loyal.

"In the days after Giuliani's return, Trump, in a nearly reflective or perhaps slightly shamed moment, explained to a caller that he knew Rudy took a drink too many, and that he was a loose cannon, and that he said a lot of s--- that was not true," the book said. "But Rudy would fight. He could be counted on to fight even when others wouldn't. And, too, he would work for free."

Rudy Giuliani suspended from practicing law in Washington, DC

By Katelyn Polantz - Wed July 7, 2021

Rudy Giuliani's law license has been suspended in Washington, DC, after he temporarily lost his license in New York for pushing election lies and that state court system looks further into his case.

The appeals court in DC said Giuliani would be suspended from working as an attorney in the city "pending outcome" of his situation in New York, according to disciplinary court records.

Giuliani doesn't regularly practice law in court -- and hadn't for several years before representing then-President Donald Trump in 2020 in a failed legal bid to throw out the popular vote in Pennsylvania and other states. But the law license suspension is still a major blow to the former Manhattan US attorney and political figure, once considered an accomplished and formidable force in legal circles.

CNN has reached out to Giuliani for comment.

When the New York appellate court temporarily suspended his law license in that state, it said in its ruling that it concluded that "there is uncontroverted evidence" that Giuliani "communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump and the Trump campaign in connection with Trump's failed effort at reelection in 2020."

This also applies to Trump:

Trump once told a caller [...] 'a lot of s---' that wasn't true, new book says

And regardless if what Giuliani said was true or not, this is the real reason Trump kept him around:

"And, too, he would work for free."

Yeah, that line is so Trumpian.

Lyle, according to Reuters.com

The appeals court said Giuliani's temporary suspension could become permanent after a hearing by the attorney grievance committee that recommended it.

John Leventhal and Barry Kamins, two lawyers for Giuliani, said they were disappointed with the suspension but believed that after a hearing he would be reinstated as "a valued member of the legal profession that he has served so well."

A judge put on hold Mike Lindell's lawsuit accusing Dominion of election manipulation

Jacob Shamsian - Jul 8, 2021

A federal judge in Minnesota has pressed pause on the pro-Trump pillow mogul Mike Lindell's lawsuit against Dominion Voting Systems.

US District Judge Patrick J. Schiltz's order, issued Wednesday afternoon, granted Dominion's request to put a hold on the case amid litigation in another lawsuit in Washington, DC.

Lindell sued Dominion in June to counter the voting-technology company's earlier lawsuit against him and his company MyPillow.

The CEO has pushed baseless conspiracy theories alleging Dominion flipped the results of the 2020 presidential election from then-President Donald Trump to then-Democratic nominee President Joe Biden. Dominion sued in April, alleging $1.3 billion in defamation damages and saying that Lindell's media tour for his conspiracy theories amounted to a marketing campaign for MyPillow.

Lindell's countersuit, now on hold, doubles down on the baseless election claims and alleges Dominion's lawsuit violated racketeering laws. Lindell has claimed his lawsuit will force the Supreme Court to overturn the 2020 election results and reinstate Trump as president, which is not possible under the US Constitution.

This is how stupid Mike Lindell is: (and many others I should note)

Mike Lindell has claimed his lawsuit will force the Supreme Court to overturn the 2020 election results and reinstate Trump as president, which is not possible under the US Constitution.

And yet this guy and the other nutbags like Sidney Powell keep spreading this idiocy which Trump has sucked up and is now spreading.  And HOW stupid is all this? Think of how stupid this is...not only can't Trump be reinstated as President in August by the Supreme Court under any law in the U.S., but this--this is the really STUPID part that makes these believers even more UNbelievable...the Supreme Court is in recess until, wait for it, the first Monday in October.

In some good news, Michigan Senate Republicans did a study of the voter fraud claims people had made in their state and found nothing.  One of their conclusions was that some are using voter fraud claims to raise money. This is illegal. The Republican led report says the MI attorney general (a Democrat) should look into this. The MI attorney general IS looking into it and may prosecute some of these Republicans involved in this. The bad news is that the Senate Republicans still said there were issues with MI voting laws and are nevertheless introducing legislation to effectively reduce access to voting.

A CBS News Report about it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-XemLMSw5M

Rachel Maddow did a lengthier report on this last night, more info here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRYygU5fOeY

She also profiled some actual voter fraud instances of Republicans who received misdemeanor fines or sentences for voting illegally and then two African American persons who voted mistakenly (one because his parole was not up for a couple weeks when he voted and a woman who was unaware of a rule governing how long one had to wait in her case) and they, of course, were arrested, put in prison and could face years in jail. (It's a bit more complicated than I've written, obviously.) The Texas attorney general, Paxton, himself under criminal prosecution, filed the warrant against the woman in a county where he knew that if the case was brought to trial the jury would be all white people. (Paxton's the one who got Republican Attorney Generals to sign on to a case to dismiss the electoral vote results in several states, that the Supreme Court threw out.)
