I read this in the NYT article. I love how he says  'how dare they illegally invade the home of the President of the United States just like some third world country?!'. I just love it!!

It seems every Republican and partisan news channel (Fox, duh) was echoing this same talking point, wanting to foment the base which is already fermented. They like to get their base riled, and they're always roiled to begin with.

Big government is out to get you. Your sainted golden calf is being attacked unjustly...it's all so disgusting.

The whole state of this nation makes me feel ill. I just read one New Yorker article about how the Far Right is taking over Wisconsin. There is another article I haven't yet read about how, apparently, they've already taken over Ohio.

I'm confident they'll be taking Pennsylvania this November.

I agree that the midterms are concerning. However election cycles come up every 2 or 4 years. A nuclear half-life is measured in hundreds of thousands of years. American elections could indeed end our democracy - a horrible prospect. A nuclear accident or war could have untold effects on the planet up to and including the ending of human life on earth.

No offense, but I think I know my state and my people better than you do. James Carvill was rude but correct in his characterization of Pennsylvania.

I don't think the Democrats are pounding hard enough against Dr. Oz (U.S. Senate) and Doug Mastriano (governor)--who will no doubt disenfranchise Philadelphia and Pittsburgh (Democratic strongholds--at least Philadelphia is).

They're pointing out that Mastriano was at the Capitol January 6. I think they should be playing that as, He tried to overthrow the government of the United States and end our democracy.
