We decided to curtail our demonstrating today. It's been raining in varying degrees of severity
for twelve hours straight now. Instead of spending so much time in the rain we decided to partake
in the pleasures of home, warmth, food, friends and togetherness. To enjoy people we like instead of
more protesting of someone we do not. Besides, the Women's March is tomorrow and a break in the
weather is supposed to happen then between our second and third, worse, storm arriving!
Los Angeles Times:
Get Ready to Get Wet, ProtestersThe storm could deposit over 2 inches of rain in Los Angeles by the end of the day.
“I guess it’ll match what you see on TV because I think they’re supposed to get a little
rain in Washington, D.C.,” a demonstrator said. “It’ll make you feel like you’re there.”
Parts of Los Angeles and Ventura counties were issued warnings of potential thunderstorms,
hail and waterspouts.
