Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump 7h7 hours ago

Wow, television ratings just out: 31 million people watched the Inauguration, 11 million more than the very good ratings from 4 years ago!

Second inaugurations of two term Presidents are always lower than the first.

Here's another accurate TWEET he could have made:

Wow, television ratings just out: 31 million people watched the Inauguration, 5.8 million less than the very good ratings from 8 years ago!

TRUTH: 19 percent below the audience for Barack Obama’s first swearing-in (37.8 million), on Jan. 20, 2009, when a quarter of all households tuned in.

Sorry Donald NOT BUYING IT.
And hating that this is what's on your mind.
You're PRESIDENT for f---'s sake!

Creative signs. (I have to try and remember some of them to post.)

I tried to remember some of the creative signs I saw yesterday. There were so many, the longer ones
are hard to remember at all.  I wish I'd had a pen and written them down, but wouldn't have thought
of it beforehand.  The friend I went with took some photos, but his computer is down until Wednesday,
so I might get the photos later on.  I'm sure some signs I've forgotten will be in the photos.

There were many great serious signs and signs I agreed with and a lot of "pussy" related signs. Those
I remember and am posting here are ones I thought were clever, creative, and/or made me laugh.

Those are pretty funny Lyle!   There are actually whole sites dedicated to the signs, some of them are very clever.

One woman had a sign that said "Trump I will pee on you for free" ouch!!

Thought this one said it all though:

I hesitate to ask this, but maybe I just missed something. Why were the hats made to look like they have cat ears? Did The Donald make some stupid crack about women being catty that I missed?

It has to do with what he likes to grab.

I hadn't thought of that either.

I hadn't thought of that either.

A woman wore one of those hats to Service at my church yesterday. Unfortunately (I guess), it just made me think of 'Hello, Kitty."

‘Good did not win this election, but good will win in the end!’ she bellowed. ‘And to our detractors that insist this March will never add up to anything, F**K YOU.’

The crowd whooped, she smirked delightedly, and then repeated her audience-thrilling line: ‘F**K YOU!’

As they whooped even louder, she went even lower.

‘Yes, I’m angry. Yes, I’m outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot of blowing up the White House.’

That press briefing was perhaps the single most terrifying thing yet from this White House, because,
well, this quote in the article says it all:

"Sean Spicer lacks the guts or integrity to refuse orders to go out and lie.
He is a failure in this job on his first full day."

And it wasn't a lie to cover up anything but verifiable facts.

Then Kelly Anne Conway goes on Meet the Press and just calls them alternate facts!

We now have a White House that makes up things and calls them facts.

And this was the first full day! My only thought was that I was watching some old SNL skit
from the 90's with Chris Farley as Andy Spicer.

Andy Borowitz's take on this from the New Yorker:

'Let Barron be a kid': Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton speaks out to defend Donald Trump's 10-year-old son from cruel internet bullies - but can't resist a political dig at his dad

Chelsea Clinton took to Facebook to defend Barron Trump on Sunday

She said that he 'deserves the chance every child does - to be a kid'

But in the post she went on to attack his father Donald Trump by saying that we should 'oppose POTUS policies that hurt kids'

Many have criticized her and called the post 'hypocritical'

I don't get it. Why is it "hypocritical" for her to urge people to let the boy alone, yet oppose his father's policies that she believes will harm children in general?

I'm not a parent, but it doesn't seem right to me to attack the child--or whatever people have been doing--because of the sins of his father.

I agree with you 100 percent.   And I remember how cruel they were to Chelsea when her Dad was President.  It wasn't right then and isn't right now.

What's really amusing is that his father is an internet bully himself.
