I believe that the royal princes subconciously want to get out, and therefore marry girls who don't fit in and sooner or later will flee the pressure. Then she will get the blame, as society likes it. :)

As much as he might want to, Prince Harry cannot run away from being Prince Harry, whether he "steps back" or not. One news report I've heard made the point that if they move to Canada, who's going to provide and pay for their security? It shouldn't be the Canadian taxpayers, in my opinion. This stepping back business affects a lot more people than the immediate family.

But I do feel some sympathy for Harry. If I'm remembering correctly, the Royal Family didn't like his mother. If I'm hearing correctly, now they don't like his wife. Poor guy.  :(

I wonder if they supplied security for the Duke and Duchess of Windsor? It was a different world back then.

I know I mentioned this last November, but every time I see this forum statistic I wonder about it.

Most Online Ever: 1433 (November 05, 2019, 02:23:48 AM)

And right now it also says:

Most Online Today: 955.

WTF?

The previous record had always been the night of the Oscars in 2006!

I'll email Neil and see if he can get to the bottom of it. He knows more about how to search for these internal problems.

IMPEACHMENT TRIAL: DAY ONE

The figurative gutters of Fifth Avenue are awash...
...in blood and spent shell casings.

What the Senate cameras recorded was...
...a day-long showdown between reason and brute force.

Schiff and the other impeachment managers have...
...all the facts and principles on their side.

The president’s defenders had nothing to counter them with...
...but nonsense and lies.

Nonsense and lies...
...and 53 votes.

I'm sure you're all as sad as I am with Senate Republicans and just how we see they've behaved during a time when they could've had some moral courage, stood up for what's right and decent and not caved in like sniveling cowards. Not a single one of them. And for what? For this President? The see no evil, hear no evil Republicans. Oh, they'll speak evil, though. What a hideous lot.

Moscow Mitch: "The fix is in."

It's up to us now. The people. We have to do whatever we can to oust these Senators and elect a new President. No matter how large or small, but do something. Help people vote. Help them get registered or overcome rules designed to get people not to vote. Donate any amount of money to a place that does so. Put support signs in your windows or on your lawns. Speak up if you hear people supporting insanity. Because it's up to us now. We the people. Do something.
