I'm posting this here again. I mentioned this reliable tracking/projecting site.  I urge the UBF community to be watching the trend analysis, plus understanding and watching what our "leaders" do.  Make no mistakes about the messages being telegraphed in the past 48 hours.  And make no mistake, the science behind the "Trend Analysis" is clear, reliable and very well understood.

https://tbub.sas.com/COVID19/

Are world "leaders" willing to "do what it takes" to flatten the exponential curve like South Korea has done (purple)?  We better hope so. What's troubling is I do not see any aggressive anti-viral agent spraying of subways, ... or other measures being done  (so far in the US) and that's partly because we were unprepared and are now scrambling to save lives.  Italy/Spain are in deep trouble. India will be in trouble.

Also, as you've heard directly from their mouths, our same "leaders" are already weighing the "costs" of saving people's lives with "the cure is worse than then disease."

Sadly, for all of us, they fail to even understand the gravity of these graphs, the future implications or realistic timelines.

Stay safe folks and pray for the world's scientist, using the world's supercomputers going 24/7, to find a weak link in this viral agent sooner than later.  V.

Thanks for the link reminder.
______

The president's re-election campaign is threatening legal action against television stations in key battleground states if they continue to air a Priorities USA ad alleging Trump called the coronavirus a hoax. Of course, this is absolutely ridiculous.

This morning on his show, Joe Scarborough did a slow burn on Trump by taking the legal threat seriously, going over the ad again and again to see how this could stand up in court and interviewing the Priorities USA representative. It is frankly hilarious when you see what Scarborough is doing. And, of course, it's completely infuriating because, well, Trump...
Brilliant satire on a news program.

It was suggested to me that it isn't satire...but, yes, here's the definition: the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.

Put a link to the Scarborough clip on my FB account. Hadn't seen it, thanks!!!

Just let him try to sue. Like most of his threats, they're empty.

^^^^ Fritz, that's frank and well explained in laymen's terms for what's happening and why the country's (and world's) NEED for ventilators (and staff to run them) is so urgent.  The best graphics I've found so far for those that want/need to know projections are below. My thoughts and prayers for everyone and the world is constant.  Take Care. Stay safe. Social distancing will save lives.

The wingnuts are starting to come out of the woodwork.

Feds: Engineer Intentionally Derails L.A. Train Near U.S. Navy Hospital Ship

LOS ANGELES — A train engineer intentionally drove a speeding locomotive off a track at the Port of Los Angeles because he was suspicious about the presence of a Navy hospital ship docked there amid the coronovirus crisis, federal prosecutors said Wednesday.

Moreno said he was suspicious of the Mercy and believed it had an alternate purpose related to COVID-19 or a government takeover, an affidavit states. Moreno stated that he acted alone and had not pre-planned the attempted attack.

Moreno stated that he thought that the U.S.N.S. Mercy was suspicious and did not believe ‘the ship is what they say it’s for,'” the complaint said.

With the Great Orange Satan in the Oval Office, it wouldn't surprise me if there was some sinister purpose related to those who fall ill with this thing, or die from it.

Shows you how much I've been watching the news, I didn't even hear about this until I read the article.

While there's nothing funny about the incident, I did laugh at this: Eduardo Moreno, 44, was charged with one count of train wrecking, prosecutors said.

One count of train wrecking.  ;D

This part sounds like the finale of The Silver Streak: “the train smashed into a concrete barrier at the end of the track, smashed into a steel barrier, smashed into a chain-link fence, slid through a parking lot, slid across another lot filled with gravel, and smashed into a second chain-link fence.”

That'll show 'em.  ???
