Fritz, I'm thanking your Nationals for helping us out today. The Dodgers have had the most wins all year for home field advantage during the National League play-offs and Atlanta has been on a 9 game winning streak and we have been losing ground to them and up only 4 games on them until you beat Atlanta and ended their 9 game winning streak today:

Max Scherzer won for the first time in two months, Juan Soto homered and the Washington Nationals beat the Atlanta Braves 9-4 Sunday to stop the NL East leaders' nine-game winning streak, their longest in five years.

Dodgers have been tepid and having an unexpected problem lately. All season our bullpen has been the source of most of our problems while the starting pitching has been on fire. The last 2 weeks plus, our starting pitchers have been melting down while the bullpen has been doing better. Hope this gets straightened out!

Our week has been wobbly with Dodger losses and Arizona and Atlanta winning streaks! Last night with the very first batter, the Dodgers misplayed a sure out in the outfield and the ball dropped. That runner eventually scored a run. The only run of the game! Ugh!

Just this second as I'm writing this the Dodgers have won against San Francisco, 5-0. About time!  With the Arizona loss our magic number is "2" for advancing to the play-offs!  Only 17 games left!

Yeah, but the Nats have been doing poorly in recent days.

I found out our new rookie pitcher, Tony Gonsolin, likes cats, when an interviewer last night asked him why his teammates were starting to call him Cat Man and he replied they always do on Caturday night when I wear cat themed t-shirts. He said he loves cats and wants to hug every one he sees. Heh!

I tried looking up a photo of him with a cat or in a cat t-shirt, but didn't find one. I wonder if he knows our left-fielder Chris Taylor's initials are CAT?

I did find this photo of Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman. He likes to travel around in his car riding with his two cats and look at this adorable photo he posted:

Yesterday, the DODGERS HAVE WON the National League West Division for the 7th straight year! Lucky 7?

So here we go again...on to the playoffs when they start. We are the first team to clinch their division this season!

One of those strange baseball statistics...

The Seattle Mariners won their first Division championship in 1995.
From 1995 - 2019, after winning last night's game, their W-L record is 1995 - 2019!

Still doesn't mean I've forgiven the Dodgers for leaving Brooklyn in 1957.  ;)

But the place they went to loves them a lot...
