Darn.

Werd ich zum Augenblicke sagen, "Verweile doch! Du bist so schön..."

No kidding.   :(

And the other Texas team is ahead right now in the 8th, 6-4. Against the Twins.
Let's manifest the Twins win. They have a runner on second with no outs.

Not only was the Dodgers game a "darn", it was downright embarrassing.  :">

Pleased, yes.  :)

Beside the point, I suppose, but I was surprised to learn that a friend of mine is a big Bryce Harper fan. My friend is a bear and I've always known him to prefer bears, at least as a general rule. I would have thought Harper was too pretty for him, even with a beard.

Monday, Oct. 9
NLDS Game 2: Braves vs. Phillies, 6:07 p.m. ET (TBS)
NLDS Game 2: Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks, 9:07 p.m. ET (TBS)

I'll watch a bit of your game today, Jeff. If they show aerials would I be able to see the building you live in?

I don't even know if I want to watch the Dodgers game tonight after that utter fiasco of a meltdown (in the 1st inning!) on Saturday. Dodgers have flamed out in spectacular fashion at times in the post season...2019, 2022 being the most notable...but Saturday was three strikes and you're out material. I mean, we beat Arizona 8 games to 4 this year, the pitcher they started with has NEVER won a game at Dodger Stadium in 11 outings over the years, we won 100 games to their 84. It's one thing if games are close and well-fought. That game was over before the Dodgers even got up to bat in the bottom of the 1st.

I had been looking up ticket prices for these games at Dodger Stadium. I can't imagine so much money for those tickets and paying for a game like that.

Anyway.

They've had a full house many times this summer. I once said to my dad that I wondered how long it took to get out of the parking lot after a game. He surprised me by saying not very long. I'm not sure how he would know; I don't remember if he's ever been to a game at CBP.

Wait a minute. "Hairless Bears"? I ain't buyin' it. Contradiction in terms around here.

Where are you in that photo?

In that photo I posted, where the Holiday Inn Hotel is in the background, I understand there's a Gambling Casino built there now? Maybe other things?

That link says: The difference is that they have less or no body hair. The amount of hairlessness will vary for every person. A hairless bear can, however, sport a dashing full beard.

I notice that list doesn't include Chicago Bears.  ;D

Oh, there's all sorts of stuff down there: "The Link" (Lincoln Financial Field, the football stadium), the Wells Fargo Center (for the Sixers and the Flyers), and I don't know what all. Definitely at least one casino, maybe more than one. I don't pay attention to those things.

Sorry, I missed your question about the visibility of my building. I'm afraid not. However, that view is to the north, toward Center City.
