Hello  Mary.

Glad you dropped by, even though it was for a sad reason.   Hope we see you again soon!

There are other posts about John in our "Mourning" thread.

I didn't want to move them here, nor quote them here, as that would only serve to bulk up my post count.

So here is a link to the first post in that thread that pertains to John,  and you can scroll through them to see what your fellow posters wanted to share.

You can find them here.

For any Brokies local to the San Francisco area (or those who want to travel), there was a message posted to Facebook on 5/25, and I only just thought of posting that here.

Fail on my part!

The message was posted by Shawn Kirchner and Ryan Harrison, the men who brought us the CD Meet Me On The Mountain, music and lyrics inspired by Brokeback Mountain.   BayCityJohn became a friend of both men, meeting them on numerous occasions.

In honor of John Trudell, I wanted you all to know that Ryan Harrison and I will dedicate our performance of a suite of Brokeback Mountain songs, next month in San Francisco, to him. We'll share 5 songs from Meet Me on the Mountain at the San Francisco Conservatory on the June 8th (8pm) Pride Concert of the Bay Area Rainbow Symphony. If any of you are or will be in the area, we'd love to share that time with you.

This is wonderful, about the San Francisco concert, even though I can't come.  Shawn and Ryan were great friends of BayCityJohn, and are good people in their own right.  I hope someone can see their show.

Shawn  posted this on FB today.

Hello friends, update on the San Francisco concert this weekend. I've been offered comp tickets, so if anyone is nearby and would like to come, please let me know because I can set you up with tickets.

Wish I could!
