Evening diners and new diner!

Very hot here, although not as hot as in Central Europe.

It's very hard to type with a kittie in the way, so this is just a hiandbye.

Good luck on your tour, Pingylinileinchen!

Natti natti dear diners!

Evening everybody...sounds like the new Diner got off to a good start.

Ing, I must have missed your post about going on another adventure, so I guess I won't see you till you get back - hope you had fun!

Deb, glad the tree mess is almost gone.

Fritz, glad you missed the traffic, how did the appointment go?  Did the quacks (I call all doctors that) say anything new?

Linda, you're doing SO GOOD - down 15 pounds.  That is not easy, so congratulations.  I'm looking up some new recipes for you, I'll post them in the recipe thread.  I have at least 150 recipe sites saved and I refer to them all the time, so it shouldn't take me long, but I might not get to it tonight.  Let me know if there are things you love or hate.

Hi Chuck - hump day for us wage slaves  ;)

I did a middle-of-the-week online grocery order.  I have a conference call tonight at 9:30 with our factory in Singapore, so I knew I'd be too tired to cook.  I got 2 rotisserie chickens, original and mesquite BBQ, and also a pound of shredded white meat chicken, first time I've seen that.  I use shredded chicken all the time, I love it in a tortilla with the pineapple salsa you told me about, Linda.  Also chicken salad is a favorite.

Hey Nancy, nothing really new, they're willing to start the hyperbaric treatment at any time, but Earl wants to wait a bit longer. The wound doctor agrees that the antibiotics did a lot of good for the wound, that it looks cleaner and doesn't produce as much discharge, quite a bit less. Even Earl seems to be a bit more optimistic, as he told the doctor today, but didn't say earlier.

That's great!  A positive attitude can help in these matters.

We'll catch the CBS and NBC News tonight.

See you after the news, Fritz.  I slept through it, but maybe CNN at 8:00 would have something interesting.

Got a good nap, anyway, and really feel wide awake now, for the first time all day.

Dinner is in the microwave now, and laundry continues to be underway.

Sounds like a lot of good news about the wound, Fritz.  That's great to hear.

Thanks, Nancy. I'll have to look for the shredded chicken, to see if it's available here. I doubt it. I may have to make some and use it as tacos. I use the small food truck corn tortillas, and use all sorts of meat rolled up in them. 3 of them are only 90 calories. I've replaced all bread with these.

No rush on the recipes, don't overdo it. I found a great low-fat and low sodium crock pot recipe for an enchilada casserole. I may try it. I have a small crock pot, so will have to reduce the recipe amounts.
