Well, here's a
9-1-1 spoiler alert from last night's episode: That was quite a lip-lock Buck threw on Tommy--mainly, I think, to set up the visual joke of Buck with soot all over his face.
However, I did think it was a pretty good episode, and I chuckled to myself when Bobby performed the marriage of Maddie and Chim because in one of the fanfics I wrote a few years ago, I had Bobby performing the marriage of Eddie and Buck.

So, anyway, I am really not buying this sudden Buck-is-bi (Buck has always been gay but closeted?

) plot line.
Why? I think I have a couple of reasons, I can't really pinpoint one, unless, I admit, it may come down to me being too wedded to the idea of Buddie.
But I agree with someone who said Buck and Tommy don't have chemistry--not the way Buck and Eddie immediately had chemistry (probably because from everything I have seen off screen, Oliver Stark and Ryan Guzman have a sort of chemistry).
Of course we haven't seen much of Buck and Tommy together. Eddie and Buck were immediately thrown together as work colleagues.
I think Buck's "coming out as bi" was abrupt. We never saw anything until we did, and all we got was the checking-out-hot-guys'-butts comment.
And yet it seems like right from the start, whenever Eddie has been in some sort of jeopardy, Buck's reaction has been off the charts.
(
Shakes head) I dunno.

I will say this: I really do think it was clever the way we were set up to think that Buck was jealous of Tommy because of all the time Eddie was spending with him, only to have it turn out that Buck was jealous of Eddie because he wanted to get closer to Tommy. I did not see that coming.
