I see NCIS Hawai'i has not been renewed. Last night, next week's episode was described as "the series finale," not "the season finale."

I wish I'd paid closer attention to last night's episode of the "mother ship," but I'm always multi-tasking for almost all evening TV shows (unless I have a serious case of the hots for one of the guys in the cast  ;D  ).

BTW, I'm sure lighting and camera angles help, but Sunday night Justin Hartley looked pretty good in just a towel. Of course, you really couldn't see much other than the fact that he was wearing only a towel, but his torso and arms looked nice.

I was reading that costs may have gotten NCIS Hawaii the boot. As for:

CSI: Vegas, CBS: The newest iteration of the popular franchise will not be returning for Season 4 despite solid ratings. (The ratings were higher for Season 3 than S1&2.)

So Help Me Todd, CBS: Marcia Gay Harden and Skyler Astin's light drama was canceled after two seasons even though it had better ratings than several shows on other networks. (Maybe another network could pick it up then.)

On NBC the news is:

Law & Order (renewed)
Law & Order: SVU (renewed)
Law & Order: Organized Crime
(I read: Organized Crime, which is much more serialized than its fellow Law & Order shows, was initially set as a midseason entry in NBC’s 2023-24 schedule, before last year’s dual labor strikes pushed the entire franchise back. It debuted in January alongside the other two series. Sources say that Peacock is putting the finishing touches on a deal that would see Law & Order: Organized Crime move from NBC to the streamer for a fifth season consisting of 10 episodes. Organized Crime has "overperformed" on Peacock. It will now have a Wolf original series to go with next-day episodes of NBC’s L&O flagship as well as SVU.)

My thought on this cancellation was so the network could put more money into their NCIS-Origins. For me I'm more interested in watching NCIS-Hawaii than what Gibbs was like before NCIS. It's a stupid premise, but in the networks twisted reasoning to getting Gibbs back, they came up with this. I got news for them, it's the actor who makes the character, not vice versa. I have no intention of watching Origins.

That would make sense. It doesn't interest me, either.

Meanwhile, I still can't believe that Harmon didn't make a cameo appearance for Ducky's memorial. For heaven's sake, Tony made an appearance! What was Harmon thinking? I do believe that if he had wanted Gibbs to make an appearance, he would have gotten his way.

CBS Might as well do a show called CSI: NCIS.

If NBC did it would be called NCIS Chicago: SVU.

Well, Donna, who knew you had to be in contact with your cameramen? That was something new we found out on Amazing Race. I'm still not sure how that happened, but if it's happened before we never heard about it. What a way to get eliminated!
It was the "mom's" fault, too, it appeared as she made an illegal turn. Otherwise, why were other cars honking their horns at her?

So Ricky & Cesar have come in 2nd three times and first place 5 times! No one can stop them it looks like. We shall see; sometimes one taxi ride can get you eliminated somewhere.

When they got to the beach tasks, I don't know why so many teams, all of them except one, chose to do that Fish Pot one; making a wire box with sticks and mesh, rather than just fill up a trashcan with seaweed. You know that one could be done easily with no mistakes. I mean, the pilots moved from last to 2nd place on that one!

No team who did the Fish Pot thing really said, if I recall correctly, why they didn't want to do the Seaweed Clearing.

There are three legs left, but only two episodes, so this season only has 10 episodes. (?)
I don't think any season has had less than 11 episodes previously. I have to look this up.

 Well I just saw tonight in passing that CBS is perpetuating "The Big Bang Theory" (over with) and "Young Sheldon" (this is the last season) with yet another spin off, "Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage"!! :o  What a stupid title!

This is based on Sheldon's older brother who got a girl 5 years his senior pregnant had the baby and they got married!!

No wonder I watch very few network shows!! I just find this hard to believe!?!?!?

Does seem kind of stupid. Does anybody really care about these characters?

(I don't now watch YS. I started when the show began, and I like his mother, and I love Annie Potts, but I quickly got as tired of young Sheldon as I'd gotten tired of grown-up Sheldon, so I quit watching.)

Well, here's a 9-1-1 spoiler alert from last night's episode: That was quite a lip-lock Buck threw on Tommy--mainly, I think, to set up the visual joke of Buck with soot all over his face.

However, I did think it was a pretty good episode, and I chuckled to myself when Bobby performed the marriage of Maddie and Chim because in one of the fanfics I wrote a few years ago, I had Bobby performing the marriage of Eddie and Buck.  ;D

So, anyway, I am really not buying this sudden Buck-is-bi (Buck has always been gay but closeted?  ;D ) plot line.

Why? I think I have a couple of reasons, I can't really pinpoint one, unless, I admit, it may come down to me being too wedded to the idea of Buddie.

But I agree with someone who said Buck and Tommy don't have chemistry--not the way Buck and Eddie immediately had chemistry (probably because from everything I have seen off screen, Oliver Stark and Ryan Guzman have a sort of chemistry).

Of course we haven't seen much of Buck and Tommy together. Eddie and Buck were immediately thrown together as work colleagues.

I think Buck's "coming out as bi" was abrupt. We never saw anything until we did, and all we got was the checking-out-hot-guys'-butts comment.

And yet it seems like right from the start, whenever Eddie has been in some sort of jeopardy, Buck's reaction has been off the charts.

(Shakes head) I dunno.  :(


I will say this: I really do think it was clever the way we were set up to think that Buck was jealous of Tommy because of all the time Eddie was spending with him, only to have it turn out that Buck was jealous of Eddie because he wanted to get closer to Tommy. I did not see that coming.

I've watched all seasons of Young Sheldon for this one main reason: It makes me laugh every week!

I've known about this spinoff for awhile, but not the title. Although provocative (first marriage?), if one has watched the YS series you can definitely see how there could be a spinoff, though it's going to depend on the supporting cast to see if it'll work. I've always said I wouldn't have kept watching YS from the start if Annie Potts hadn't been in it. She was the "wrong note" at first that livened up the show and then other characters appeared along the way which added to it. So I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

I wonder if any of the other YS cast is going to be in it? This series is going to be different from TBBT and YS in one major respect, it's going to be a three camera show--they're going to film it in front a studio audience.
