Lyle, did you see 9-1-1 last night? I won't say anything other than, as a technical point, I wonder how close to broadcast the show is edited? And when the commercials/previews for next week's episode are put together?

Jeff, I did see 9-1-1 and the trailer for next week's episode, "Pinned", but I'm trying to think of what you're getting at.  :-\

I didn't want to say anything about Eddie clearly getting a love interest if you hadn't seen the episode. I didn't want to spoil it.

And I was wondering how far in advance of broadcast the episodes are put together and the trailers created. Last night we didn't have a kid stuck in a hole, did we (you mentioned in a post back on the 18th)? I remember the merry-go-round prank; Josh's dating disaster; the woman stuck in the window; the woman with the bullet lodged in her head; Athena's talk with Michael; and the whole long-ish story line about Eddie meeting Christopher's teacher, the skateboard incident, and so forth, and its follow-up. Have I already forgotten something?  :">

Now Buck needs a girlfriend--even though he and Eddie are soulmates.  ;D  (And where did his comment about Maddie trying to set him up with Josh come from?)

I went back and looked at the preview for last night's episode "Fools":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0PFpsWtRJc

It starts off with a scene I don't recall in the "Fools" episode either. But then on screen it says "THIS SEASON" and shows a lot of things, including the kid stuck in a hole, so apparently they were showing snippets of things for the entire season.

You didn't spoil it, Eddie did!  Or the show did.

Yeah, lots of "straight" talk this episode. Then a gay bashing...really?

That would make sense.

A little bit off topic--or maybe not--but I noticed last night that the 9-1-1 fanfic writers are already "shipping" Buck and Josh.

One hopeful soul thinks Eddie's new romantic interest is something of a red herring (my word, not the writer's) because of hints of Eddie, Buck, and Christopher being a family. I did respond to that by noting that I'm haunted by that brief shot from the Christmas party of Eddie's abuela, Eddie, Christopher, and Buck all together, with Buck, rather than Eddie, helping Christopher open his present.  I really don't know what to make of that, but to me it does look an awful lot like a family.

I guess you could say last night's L&O: SVU was ripped from the headlines, though considerably embroidered. The plot kicked off with sex videos of a ballerina being posted to the internet. Before everything got shut down, there was a to-do in New York because a performer in West Side Story, a dancer from ABT, was involved in some sort of situation--unfortunately I don't remember the details--that involved him and another dancer swapping sexually explicit photos of their ballerina girlfriends. Somehow the word got out--again, I don't remember the details--and people were protesting West Side Story because they wanted him fired.

John Waters had a guest role as a guy who runs a porn website.  ;D

Ozark?

I haven't even seen the first one, Azark, yet. Much less B-C-D-E-F-G-H-I-J-K-L-M and Nzark.

Jeff, I did hear something about that West Side Story controversy. I wonder if this episode was based on that or just a coincidence?

I did enjoy John Waters cameo, though I was hoping he'd be involved in the episode more.

From watching this episode--MEMO TO FEMALE BALLERINAS--make sure you audition for ballet companies where the men involved are gay. (What? Gay men in ballet companies?)  ::)

I remember the merry-go-round prank;

I forgot to mention/ask:  Did you remember that the three guys doing this prank were the same three that did that.other prank with the microwave oven on one of their heads?
