No comments on this weeks 9-1-1 episode?  :D

I think I like the show better when the big drama has to do with a call.

Plus, I kept having thoughts that were pretty peripheral, I guess you'd say.

I wish I'd timed exactly how many seconds we got to see Lucy and Ravi. (I'd still like to see more of Ravi. I believe I've mentioned before that I think he's cute.  :D ) I wonder how much they got paid for their appearance?  :D

Since Eddie was going home to El Paso for the party to celebrate his father's retirement, Christopher had to be accounted for. He was mentioned twice, but we never saw him. I guess he probably didn't get paid at all.  :D

It was nice that, apparently, the writers felt that closely watching fans would wonder if Eddie's grandmother and Aunt Pepa weren't around for her son's/brother's retirement party, so it was nice to see them, however brief.

I felt the way Eddie's conflict with his father was handled was unrealistic.

Also, no way could Ramon have kept from Helena that he'd had three or four cardiac by-passes. He may have been able to keep from her that he'd had three or four angioplasties--BUT, I also recognize this because my job is connected to medical education, I know what an angioplasty is, and what the difference is between an angioplasty and a by-pass. I guess unless you or someone you know has had an angioplasty, I think chances are you're not going to know what that is. I guess just about everyone has at least heard of a "heart by-pass." "By-pass" made better practical sense in the context of writing for a TV show.

So what's going to happen with Buck and Taylor? No predictions, but they're surely building up to something for next week. They seem to keep paralleling Buck and Eddie: Eddie had Shannon, and she died. Buck had Ali, and she dumped him. Eddie was in a relationship of some depth with Ana, he had a problem with the relationship, and he broke up with her. Now Buck is in a relationship with Taylor, they're living together (some depth to the relationship), and Buck has a problem. Seems logical to me that something is going to happen.

I watched the Lone Star one and then 9-1-1 and I was kind of blasť about both of them. I don't usually watch them both at once I believe was the problem.

Yes, the Taylor thing looks like the plan is for Buck to drop her because of this. That's what I thought, but maybe also what I hoped?

Um ... yeah. Same here. These women keep breaking up the family anyway.  :D

Not related to this particular episode, but I guess maybe they're dropping the "Hen goes to medical school" plot line?

I like Tracie Thoms. I always enjoy seeing her when Karen is part of the plot.

OK, I'm sorry if this is a spoiler, but I gotta say it: Eddie's back and Taylor's gone. Right now all is right with the 9-1-1 world.

I wonder if May will be gone, as she's going to college? I wonder what will happen with Lucy and Ravi? Will we see them again? I'm guessing Albert is gone?

I kind of laughed to myself when Bobby poured out that bottle, because a day or so ago I was thinking to myself, Bobby is supposed to be in recovery--isn't he?--but we never see anything about that.

I've read that there was supposed to be a hint of some disaster to come next season. I didn't see it, unless Bobby falls off the wagon, or something happens on the cruise he and Athena will be taking.

The episode title was Starting Over. Maybe like that season of Dallas when the whole previous season wasn't real.  :o

This episode ended with a Lesbian wedding.

9-1-1 Lone Star ended with a Gay wedding. Well, rather, an engagement party.

That would be OK if we got a full frontal of Eddie or Buck coming out of the shower.  ;D

This is why there will be no Buddie. Between the two shows, they are "balanced," Lesbian couple on one and gay couple on the other.

I wonder what's up with the unappealing powerful Black woman characters? 9-1-1 had Claudette, and Blue Bloods has the D.A.

If they want porn, they should read some Buddie fanfic (including some of mine).  :D

American "ideas" can be so weird and completely at odds with each other. Has anyone ever used those "TV ratings" they put on programs designed to warn parents if any programs have DSLV in them? Parents may want to protect their children from certain things, but any child knows they can just go online somewhere and see what they want to anyway. Or find a friend with access. And how many children who might have not had any interest in some program that displays the "DSLV" warnings in front them have then wanted to watch those same programs to find out what the DSLV is in them?

Same thing with movie ratings. (Do they still have movie ratings?)

I guess we don't ordinarily discuss commercials here, but the current commercials for Bounty brand paper towels strike me as unbelievably stupid: Somebody knocks over a glass of something, and the contents endanger something (a lottery ticket, a tablet).

I just want to yell at the screen, "Dude! Forget the paper towels! Just pick up the lottery ticket!"

^^^ I think the most exposure we will ever see from Buck or Eddie on Fox will be maybe  a wrapped locker room towel or no-shirt running on  a treadmill or workout machine (which they have done...).   8)  V

The first episode of Season 2, where we met Eddie, we saw him wrapped in a towel, and also putting on a t-shirt (at the station, where Buck first laid eyes on him). I don't remember seeing Buck that way. I just enjoy the way his biceps fill out the sleeves of his t-shirts.

And I still think it's strange how they make Buck react (overreact?) when something happens to Eddie. When Buck had to tell Christopher about Eddie being shot by the sniper, it was Buck who lost it, not Christopher.

^^^ Now I gotta find that episode!  YT here I come!  It's FRI and after a long damn week, I need a distraction!

No doubt.  The writers have dropped so many hints and continue abusing us with that bromance-tease.  Clearly they have been writing that Buck has strong feelings for Eddie. Just how strong... that's what keeps us hopeful. I think one of my favorite scenes I've listed before is the Christmas scene where the young lady elf tells Buck, "You and Eddie have an adorable son!" Buck then quickly glances over at Eddie and Christopher, smiles, doesn't bother to correct her and says, "Thank You!"   He's clearly not averse to that thought/reality....?    :-X

The clip if you need a refresher -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNsmWkSg3Bc

This is hilarious and right in line - LOVE the cuts and well the add-ins!  -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qb1rDGpnzfY

Now this one - is tough. LOVED the cover. If I didn't know better, I'd swear.... -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPBg14LDAh8

This one is the crossover with TK... loved how TK explained "things" to Buck, then walks away..and then Eddie just whips around the corner
