Earl's room phone doesn't work, eventually got through via the nurse's station, hope he can get a working phone with a fixed number.

mod: apparently not till Monday. Always the way on a weekend. So for the next couple of days I'll have to go through the nurse's station.

Hello Fritz

Glad you got through.

G'nite Debbie, got a bunch of Earl's bills to pay tomorrow, when his retirement check is deposited. Including writing a check to pay the taxes on the property in WV. If he had been healthy enough he would have given it away by now.

And church tomorrow afternoon.

That is a pain, Fritz, having the WV property and not being able to handle giving it away due to his current medical situation.

I've had similar thoughts about my car in Colorado: if I can't go back there to drive it (due to COVID) I should probably just donate it to charity, except I can't get there to handle the title work of giving it away.

See you sometime tomorrow.

I am enjoying it very much!

NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE!!!!!!! on the walking around the house naked. Too many non curtained windows and close neighbors. I wouldn't subject that sight to ANYONE!!!   :-X :-X :-X ??? ??? ??? :o :o :o

I do occasionally walk naked from my bedroom to the bathroom, and even more rarely go downstairs to fetch something. But I would only be seen if someone was in my garden, which is extremely unlikely!

Wasn’t aware of that, but I have been YouTubing Swiss train and other mountain videos - so beautiful.

Brian, how lovely to go to a real concert.

I’m supposed to be watching a live online concert tonight, though the link seems unnecessarily complicated. But it will be available for a week.

Yes, it was lovely and the church was packed. It has a large gallery and it seemed to be full. I was looking to see the capacity and find it is the largest church in the city.

It does not seem as large as the Anglican cathedral but there is no gallery in the cathedral. Apparently Knox church holds over 1000
The City Choir Master is also the city organist and organ tutor at the University. He played the organ for the Pastorale but, during Faure's Requiem, a note on the organ got stuck, he had to stop and go over and help the organist, probably one of his pupils. At least it provided some amusement and all went well after.  The Requiem was dedicated to all those who have died due to Covid and are still to die (in the world).

Hey y'all, usual weather here, warmer than yesterday. But it was the warmest July ever, the temp never went below 70 even at night the whole month, for the first time. The lack of cooler evenings is what makes the heat here so oppressive.

I was able to get in touch with Earl this morning without too much of a problem, but a wrestling buddy of his would like for him to call, but he couldn't find anything to write the friend's cell number on. This is the one who visited in June and was helpful in getting the washing machine to work. The friend's cell number is on his cell phone, but there's no way that Earl will remember how to retrieve it, assuming he could find his cell phone. I hope when I call this afternoon after church that he'll be able to write it down.

Hi Nancy. Happy Saturday. I've already been outside walking, pulling weeds, and picking up all the stuff that got blown all over the yard from the wind of the storm last evening.  I got outside about 6:45 and it was 61° outside.

I hope the rest of your day goes well.
