Very cheesy!

Werd ich zum Augenblicke sagen, "Verweile doch! Du bist so schön..."

Big Hand for the Little Lady!!

All the media have been awash the last ten days with stories about the late Queen Elizabeth, of course. Yesterday's New York Times Style section was no exception, giving nearly a full page to the meticulous--nay, microscopic--attention she gave to every detail of her appearance as the public would see it. One of the last bits detailed how she carefully chose each of her brooches, most of them gifts, for significance and symbolism appropriate to the occasion. The article gave two examples: at Philip's funeral, she wore a pin he had once given her. The second example given was from 2018, when she received a state visit from a dude named Dumpsterfire, or something like that. On that occasion, she wore another brooch which had once been a gift…from Barack Obama.

Can we have a "GOD SAVE THE QUEEN?!"
"…in the family homestead of his dead lover, the shirts they wore while cowboying together long before: shabby denim and weary cotton, wrapped in each other's arms." Like this. Always.

He either fears his fate too much
Or his deserts are small
Who dares not put it to the touch
To win or lose it all
