Hey y'all, sunny at last here after days of cloudiness, but warmer. It should reach the 80's before cooling down Saturday evening to Sunday morning.

It's still pleasant inside the house, hope I can get through the warm spell without turning on the A/C again.

Good morning, Fritz.  Actually, good Noon!

It's been a busy morning.  No possibility of going for a watch battery, but other things are coming along well.

Had a surprise phone call from the tree-trimming people just after I'd finished a late breakfast.  The head guy said they could come over right away, rather than on Monday, so I said okay.  They've been here and gone, and trimmed all the low head-high new branches off the tree trunks, then went up in the fork lift and trimmed a lot of bigger branches back....along with all the browning leaves that were on those branches.

Two trucks came, one with the lift, one to take the branches and leaves away in.  And the whole back of that second truck was filled up, by the time they left.  They swept up the street (many trash cans full of leaves) and swept my sidewalks, and part of lawn down underneath those trees.

So Tony down the street will have a lot less leaf-sweeping to do at my house!   ;D

And before any of this happened, somebody (must have been a trash truck, although yard waste pickup was yesterday, and trash pickup is tomorrow) came and took away that one leaf bag that I had standing in my street.

It's all to the good that they did the tree work today, because I have to park in the street after coming home from a hair cut this afternoon, and my car will have to stay in the street for a few days.  So it might still have been in the way of thhe tree-trimming on Monday.

Then I called the company which will be doing my bathroom remodels, because I have a small plumbing service call to take care of in the downstairs powder room.  A slight plop-plop dripping noise, no visible leak, but probably wasting water, and I hear it every time I do my downstairs walking, near the hallway where that bathroom is located.

The company had me on file as a previous customer, and will come out sometime on Monday, unknown time, although I told them I'd prefer afternoon.  They'll call 30 minutes in advance.  Monday is free since the tree-trimming is already done, and I didn't even ask about tomorrow since I'll be busy with driveway sealcoating tomorrow.

That leak or plopping water sound has also been gnawing at me, because I've known that it has to be dealt with sometime.

They knew what they meant when they referred to water torture.

Back home from haircut, and parked my car in the street so I don't have to move it tomorrow before the driveway sealcoating begins, which is supposed to be 12-3, but that could change.

I brought one delivery of mail in before leaving, but as I was driving away from the house, I saw a mail truck in my rear view mirror.  Checked again, after getting home....more mail.  Not sure why.  Still not the delayed rent check, but lots of junk mail.

I don't plan to go out with the car tonight, and have a hoagie left, and some bruschetta, so don't need a Thursday turkey dinner anyway.  I took the recycle can down after getting home a few minutes ago, but still need to gather more regular trash and take it down later.

Mostly, tonight is for relaxing....this has felt like a long week.

Have a restful evening, Debbie!

I'll be heading to choir practice around 7:15 or so.

I decided to start my restful evening by working on the last of the first 20 Poisonous Creatures badges.

We talked about this animal a while back (last week) but I just now finished the challenge and won the badge.  It's the Crown of Thorns Starfish.

Tomorrow, 10 more Poisonous Creatures badges will be released, and I'm anxious to see what they are.  Looking forward to them.  They're a lot more interesting for a subject, than I expected they would be.

Dramatic afternoon here, in spite of the splendid weather.

Saw a last specialist with my mom - but she was in so much pain, was suffering so much, that it was difficult for him to consult her.

Afterwards we returned home, I called an ambulance and two emergency doctors, and off she went (bent from all the pain and incredibly weak) to the clinic.

We are praying that they will keep her, at least for several days, better for weeks.

It couldn't go on any longer like this.

I have no news from the hospital yet concerning the decision in which department she will be transferred and about what has been examined/done to her during the past three hours.

(((((Ingy)))))

and ((Ingy's mom))

What a rough day you have had!  But sometimes you've done all you can do, yourself, for an older relative, like a mother, and the time really has come to turn the situation over to professional help.

I do hope that the clinic or hospital where she is now can help her.  And most important as a first step, I hope that they recognize the seriousness of the situation she is in, and decide to keep her for a good while.
