I find the normal cleaning by dentists very uncomfortable, Michael, so this must feel much worse. I don't  know if there is an alternative treatment for the pain of gum disease.

Well you've got me there - I don't think there is another treatment for gum disease. That's why I had it in the 80s. But here at least I have had dentists (including the one I have now - who I like) suggest it even without gum disease (who knows why?) - and without a compelling reason I'm not doing it again.

I slept so/so. Certainly no constant pain, but not painless either.

This morning there were already numerous calls for Mr S (birthday) and for us both (wedding anniversary).

I just called him in Normandy. He's enjoying a festive w/e over there.

I miss him, needless to say.
