I'm confused by this Maureen person. Do you PAY her for her time? I'm guessing so, sorta like a Home Health Aide, no? Enlighten me, please!  ;D

Yes, I pay her.  I just had surgery.  She is a friend of my doctor's good nurse friend, so two steps removed from the doctor.

I pay her for her time helping me at my house, and also pay her for her time taking me to medical appointments.

Since I don't have any relatives in this state, she was like my surrogate sister for the surgery, drove me to hospital and home, waited there during surgery and was the one the hospital notified when I was out of surgery.

She had a list of my out-of-town friends to call, text or post to, to notify that I had survived.  For example, she was to contact Chuck at the Diner, so he could post to other people.  But by then, I was awake and could post here myself.

I hope you come back tomorrow and read my reply to these questions, Jonn.  You disappeared. Good luck to the Royals.

It's raining, and we've been having thunder off and on for 20 minutes or so.

I'm feeling miserable, my ankles/feet are swollen up, can't even get loafers on comfortably.  Lined one bathroom floor with bath towels so I can walk in socks without hurting feet on the tile.

Located two more and flatter extra pillows in closet, and will try to prop feet up on them when I get in bed.

Good night, everyone.  See you tomorrow.

Good night, Debbie. Hope you can sleep comfortably and feel better in the morning. The thunder and rain got here just a few minutes ago. I hope it's a good, steady rain.

Chuck, I see they canceled the Wonder Twins movie. Sorry to hear it. :'(

Good night, Fritz and Tony. :)

Safe travels and a good gathering, Ingmariposa. :)

Thanks, Jenny.

Thanks, Fritz.

There have been good things and bad things about this night.  Feet swollen, but I've found a fairly comfortable position in bed with head on extra pillow, and each foot up on a folded pillow.

So although it sounds bad, I've actually spent more time sleeping in the real bed than on any other night so far.  And I have to remind myself that this is still Friday overnight, so it has only been exactly one week since I came home from the hospital.

From that point of view, things have improved a lot so far, and things will have to keep getting better.

Oh, and it's not raining now, and the computer forecast just said Heat Wave.  Although the 3:15 AM temp is only 74 degrees.

Very crazy morning.  Medically and Internet-ly.

I did get back to bed again and slept some more, and by now the sun is coming up, yaay!

However, there was more heavier bleeding again, and I decided that I may be straining things inside by pulling myself up out of the bed.  So decided that I've had enough bedrest for a while, and if I need a nap, I'll do it in a chair with head on a pillow on the table.

So I decided to look at a game:  no games.  Diagnosis:  No Internet.

Looked at Diner but couldn't refresh:  No Internet.

I know when that happens, I have to turn the controller off and on, and the Internet will load up and come back.  But my controller is on the floor.  And semi-heavy, possibly 10 pounds.  I leaned over and picked it up, but somehow dropped something, I guess from being weak, and the bottom cradle fell off of the controller.

Oh, well, I still could press the off/on button, and when it came back, lights started to come on.  But the controller won't sit flat anywhere, unless it's in that cradle.  Finally was able to bend over, pick up the cradle, attach it to the controller, and sit it back down on the floor beside the computer table.

So as is obvious, I have Internet again, am back in the Diner, have my games back, and have my email back.  Just another unexpected complication.

Darn. Hoping for the best and continued healing, Debbie.

Hey y'all, sunny and a bit milder and less humid here, no complaint!
